The purpose of this trip was just to go for a day for the U2 Tribute Concert at Mizner Park. I drove from Miami up to Boca, and didn't want to drive back too late, so I found a cheap place to stay up in Boca. I took a couple friends with me. Upon arrival, we were immediately recognized without any identification. I thought we were off to a good start. The gentleman was very hospitable. We requested a 2 double bed, non-smoking room. Upon arrival to our room, it wreaked of cigarette. The three of us had asthma and were unable to stay in the room. We told the front desk clerk, and he immediately changed our room to a larger room, on the second floor, at no additional cost. We settled in, and then we discovered that the air conditioner didn't work. We called the gentleman again, and were told that the AC was like that in all the rooms. He actually said, "The AC unit says 63, but it doesn't really mean it's 63. Most of the units don't work here." I asked for another room change, because it was practically warmer INSIDE the room than it was outside. Once we changed rooms, the AC finally worked. (Third times a charm!) The exterior of the hotel isn't too well maintained. We found a lot of dead roaches and other rodents along the floor. The pool was filthy. One of my friends actually got the net and cleaned the pool himself. The first clerk I dealt with was very nice, but once the shift changed, he wasn't too polite. The next morning, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I know for a fact that even though if I do return for another overnight trip like this one, I definitely will not stay here.
Pros: Free breakfast and wi-fi
Cons: Just about everything else
Room Tip: Just stay somewhere else... Trust me.

• The day desk clerk received our commendation for the courteous manner in which he treated you, our valued guests.
• The evening desk clerk received additional training in the courteous manner in which he is to treat you, our valued guests.
• Outside maintenance was notified of your report of dead roaches and rodents and instructed to see to their removal and to any needed extermination.
• Pool staff received additional training in properly maintaining the pool.
