This was our "home" away from "home" for six nights, 12/27/11 - 01/02/12. When my husband and I entered the the lobby we were not greeted with a smile or welcome but instead, "Do you a reservation"? After that, the first room we were given the lights were not working, light bulbs had to be replaced. Neither TV worked; one had no sound and the other one no sound or picture. There was only one hand towel and bath towel and no bath mat. These incidents involved three different phone calls to the lobby. We then asked to be assigned to another King bedroom. We were told there were no other King's left but doubles were available. Later, we received a phone call that we would be moved to another King bedroom. After being assigned to the new King bedroom, we found that the water in the face bowl stalled. We were told that someone would come the next morning to upstop the face bowl. We finally went to bed and realized that the alarm clock did not work, so, we used our cell phones. The only positive was that the furniture did not look as old as the furniture in the first room. When we asked housekeeping for four washcloths, (two for each of us) we were told we could have three washcloths. I later asked the lobby staff if guests were limited to the number of towels and the answer was no. On another note, my husband went for breakfast but came back saying the boiled eggs were in water and he didn't know for how long and the place did not look inviting so we ate out each day.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is far below the standards of other Doubletree Hotels I have stayed in.
