came here for a sleepover for my daughter and one friend, when i told the guy at the desk i was informed that NO PARTIES were allowed on the premises, ( it wasn't a party!) plus the same night we stayed, there was a wedding on the beach and a reception at the resort(and i say resort with a chuckle!) i have never been so insulted in my life, i hope they are changing hands then maybe i'd actually stay there again.

I usually stay on Clearwater Beach in 5 star hotels but I was quite impressed with this place. It is older than most hotels but the rooms were neat, clean and comfortable. Talk about location? You can't get any better. I was there in the peak of spring break and this place was so relaxing....away from the crowds. The beach was almost deserted, I felt like I owned the place. The management is fantastic, they took real good care of me. It's not the Ritz, if you want that, you can pay $300+ a night, for the money, this place was fabulous! I will be back again.

Even though I had a room with a gulf view and balcony, it was a true disappointment. I agree with the other negative reviews. I washed all eating utensils before I would consider using them. I was not comfortable with wanting to sit on the furniture. I would not go barefoot in the unit. The pool was closed even though it looked ok. If you wanted to used the ice machine, you had to get there before 9 p.m. because it was in a crummy "community room" that was locked after 9.

I come to this beautiful hotel and location twice a year. I come to relax, spend time with family and sit on the beach with a good book. Every time I come, I never want to leave.
My last visit was the first week of August 2010. The weather was perfect and the dolphins swam in front of the hotel and jumped out of the water all day long-- It was amazing! The beach, the sunsets and the tranquility is never disappointing.
We also had a wonderful time at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. We enjoy the quaint shops nearby and the wonderful restaurants.

The room was great, with the separte bedroom, and the kitchen had everything I needed. My favorite part is the balcony ,where I sit and watch the sunset.
I also think the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, what a great group!

I read the review from August 18th, 2010, they should have stayed and qiven it a chance they would have had a great time!
