“Expected More”

We stayed here one night when my brother got married at the resort. It was a beautiful location with gorgeous views but I have to say I expected more. We arrived on time for check in but we along with others in our group had to wait several hours for our room to be ready. If I had paid full price I would have been disappointed. The highlight for us was the amazing bathroom with the wall of windows. The rest of the room was nice but nothing special. The walk to the beach was a short distance and my nieces and I had a great time in the water the next day. The restaurant was adequate but the breakfast if it had not been free for us would have been a rip off. They definitely charge you for every convenience here so if you are concerned at all about cost it is not a good bargain in my opinion.
The spa on the other hand was actually surprisingly reasonable and the spa day we had was a perfect experience.

“Good hotel, nice rooms, pretty quiet place though”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

the hotel is located in a very quiet area called bal harbour. It is located at 102street, therefore far away from South Beach activities. You either need a car or a taxi to get anywhere. The hotel was very quiet in the evening. The hotel bar was even empty on a Thursday night, we were the only guests. The area outside of the bar where you can eat and drink was not clean and full of birds sitting on the chairs and tables which immediately gave the touch of unclean area.

“pleasant but too quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

stayed at this hotel for 5 nights - The hotel itself if very nice and rooms are very comfortable. the food is standard - choice in restaurant could be better. The beach while we were there was full of seaweed and not very clean. The beaches further up the coast are better!! The hotel is a bit of a walk from the Bal Harbour shops though it is a pleasant stroll if you are so inclined. They offer transport to the shops but we found it to be hardly ever available when we needed it!! If its entertainment and fun you are after then One Bal Harbour is not the place - it was absolutely dead while we were there in September. Next time will probably stay in Miami Beach area.

Room Tip: ask for sea view as river view can be noisy with the highway so close.

“Welcome and relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

Service - very good service, though the dining options are limited and so is the menu. If you want to have dinner it is better to go out.

Value - yes it is expensive but it is worth it.

Sleep quality - clean and comfortable beds.

cleanliness- everything was clean, modern, and trendy. Beautiful private beach, Clean, spacious pool, the design of the hotel was really good, also you can rent a cabana for $150.

Room Tip: Request for connecting rooms or river view suites.
