I stayed at the Sheraton for the first time about three years ago and loved the fact that the rooms were so spacious and there was a separate area for a couch and extra tv. It was also very clean and well taken care of. The linens were great and the bed, for me, was fabulous. I stayed there two weeks ago and was highly disappointed at how shabby the rooms were. First room we checked into had stains all over the couch, the shower was a handicapped shower and the room had an odd smell. The front dest was gracious and moved us immediately. Unfortunately, the couch was just as dirty, the kitchenette had a broken door-that was fixed right away. The desk lamp had badly gouged the top of the desk-didn't anyone from housekeeping see this? The Old English polish was sitting right behind the front desk. The tub/grout needed a good dose of clorox.
Bar was supposed to close around 10:30 but stayed open as groups of people kept coming in so that was nice and the atmospher there was good. Bar food was slow and not hot.
The people at the front desk were very accomodating and charming. The lobby was quite lovely and clean. The only open bathroom on the first floor was handicap accessible and the toilet seat was broken. Computers were available in the lobby but $10.00 a day to use your computer in your room is a rip-off. Mostly business people so I guess they didn't care.
I would go back because it is inexpensive and close to Winterthur and Longwood Gardens.
