“A hotel of need not choice”

I have stayed here a few times over the last 3 years for work purposes and the experience is always the same. The hotel is functional, service ranges from good on the front desk to impatient, the breakfast is average and the waitress always seems by on edge. The free shuttle bus helps you get around, the location is perfect if you're there for work although the Internet charges are high

Dear Hong Kong,

We realize you have choices when travelling. Thank you for choosing our hotel as your destination hotel. Providing the best in service is extremely important to us. Please accept my sincerest apologies if we fell short. I have already shared your review with our team to ensure we are always on our game. As for the breakfast, We have just upgraded and are rotating our breakfast to include breakfast empanadas, breakfast tacos, home baked muffins and pastries which I must say are quite delightful. This is in addition to our staples which include a variety of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs or eggs made to order, potatoes, french toast or pancakes, sausage, bacon, oatmeal with various toppings, an assortment of juices and coffee. Still, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could send me specific feedback on how else we can improve our breakfast. My email is evelyn.montalvo@hilton.com. Lastly, I want to apologize for the charge on the internet services. In order to provide a large enough bandwidth to our guests, we do need to charge. It's amazing how many of our guests go on at the same time and download enormous files. I do invite you to sign up for becoming a Hilton Honors member. If you travel often and stay at a Hilton brand, you may be able to reach Gold or Diamond status and consequently receive complimentary high speed at any of our properties. Anyway, I do thank you for providing us with an opportunity to improve our services by writing this review and hope you give us another opportunity to make it up to you.

“Thanksgiving Weekend”

I Also was there on Thanksgiving Weekend, not with the hockey teams. I had a great experience... There was a lot of "activity" shall we say with so many hockey players and families at the hotel. From my view everything was handled well.

“Very clean, however not a good view for the price”

This hotel is in a great location for a short stay to attended the DuPont Theatre and train station. Parking is only $10.00 dollars for 24 hours. The hotel will take you to and from the theatre and train station. Just let them know, when you book your room, or when you check-in for the van fills up quick. However, if you like to walk, the theatre and train station are only a few blocks away. Our room and bathroom were nicely done and clean. Before the show we ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. After the show we had a night cap in the bar and the service was excellent once again. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an indoor pool and exercise room. At the front desk and exercise room you can help yourself to a fresh apple when ever you want. The only thing I did not like, the view from my room. You saw a large white roof over the garage that housed more than just hotel guest cars. I would recommend a grass roof and low potted plants.

“Tad expensive but good for short stay”

I stayed in Double tree while in town for a business related visit. The big positivies is their staff: very helpful and courteous. They accomodated almost every request of mine: cab requests to late check-out because of my flight delays... The customer service is really good.

The food was not particularly good. But there are a few good restaurants across the road (Olive Garden is my favorite). I had to depend on those for food. The walls are very thin and you feel you can hear people walk/talk around sometimes.

I found the rooms to be priced (145$ + taxes) little higher compared to other options in the same city.

“Quite expensive and pretty poor quality”

Stayed at the double tree for work at the beginning of December. The rooms were pretty small and not particularly clean. On one ocassion smelly food was left in the corridor over night, and the floor we were staying on was being renovated during our stay. Staff in the restaurant were the only real upside. They were very friendly and helpful. Really. It worth 300 bucks a night.

We pride ourselves in taking such care in the guestrooms especially since our standard room ranges anywhere from $99 to $229 depending on the day of week and season.
