I'll admit I was nervous when I "won" a night at this motel on Priceline but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very nice property for a Best Western, though I think they are stretching their poetic license a bit by calling it a "resort." This property does not meet my definition of a true resort but it's still a nice little property if you know what to expect beforehand.
The location is good; great outlet shopping is a short drive away and you can walk to the beach. Parking is free in a covered parking garage. Check-in was a breeze and the front desk staff was pleasant.
The room decor was new and updated but it still felt like a budget motel room (thin towels, fake marble showers, puny toiletries, no bathtub, plastic wrapped plastic cups instead of glasses), though it did feel clean. Our room had a large, comfortable layout with gorgeous french doors that opened out onto the street. An in-room microwave, safe and mini-refrigerator were thoughtful, nice amenities. While the room was large, the bathroom layout felt a little cramped.
As a female, I found some of the clientele to be a little bit "sketchy" but I was traveling in the off-season (winter) so it might be more bustling in the summer months. There aren't a lot of hotels / motels in the area, which makes this a good choice.
Note that the property is located right on a busy road and across from a rock and roll bar so if you are a light sleeper, try to get a room away from the road / bar side. All in all, this is a decent place to stay when you are in the area.
