Hotel was a big disappointment. The furniture was very outdated, the carpet was worn and dirty. The whole hotel needs a total makeover which I was told is suppose to occur next year. Breakfast was also poor. Only brightside was pleasant staff.

Decided at the last minute to do a weekend in Rehoboth. We usually rent a house for a week, but this time we didn't and soon nothing was available. Fortunately we were able to get a room at the Comfort Inn for two nights. The hotel was clean, the service was good and breakfast was included...not a great breakfast, but not bad...make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereals, breads, and fruits... That's all we needed.
The only con was our room door would not automatically lock when we left the room and the door closed. We just happened to lean on the door and it popped open. We called security and they came up right away. It took some jiggling but the door finally locked.
Other than that, it was "not bad" and a decent place to stay for a weekend. I'd stay there again.

The hotel is nicely located on the Coastal Highway, right next to a Safeway and Jake's Restaurant. Can walk to the nearest Tanger Outlet Mall. 4-6 miles to either Rehoboth beach or Cape Henlopen. Only downside is that you can't walk right out your door to the beach.
The rooms were clean and nice sized. The bathrooms have been updated. Downside is that the beds were very soft and both my husband and I had backaches by the time we left. Also, there's a small dining table with 2 dining chairs but otherwise no place else to sit other than the bed.
The breakfast was good and had hot eggs and sausage (pre-formed heat and serve type), waffles, cereal, muffins, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. Sastisfied my family of 4 all 3 days we were there.
Highly recommend Jake's restaurant next door - really great food - could have made a meal out of the stuffed mushroom caps! A bit on the higher side for cost though if you are on a budget.

A good choice if you want to save $50 plus per night compared with being closer to the beach. A cab to Dewey is approximately $12.00. In front of the hotel is a DART bus stop $2.10 per day and you can ride all day/night to local beach and bars. Comfortable room with decent bedding. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, it is not sanitary... breakfast breads, donuts, etc. do not have tongs. Guests were grabbing them with their hands... UGH. We ate there the first morning and then after that, went out for breakfast instead. Also, the hotel has a 2 night, not 3 night minimum during holidays. Friendly staff. Clean common areas and easy parking. I would return for a short stay. Also, check out Jakes next store. Excellent seafood, especially the crab cakes. I found Jakes to be a lot better than Phillips. .
