Location – The location was very, very good. Not to close to the beach and boardwalk that you were hearing crowd noise or traffic, but certainly close enough to be convenient for the walking. A five minute walk and you were right on the Rehoboth boardwalk and beach
Staff – The best part of the experience, for sure. The staff was friendly, attentive and enthusiastic from the moment we checked to the pulling away at the end of the trip. Whether it was extra towels, shampoo, or extended check out, the wonderful folks at the Atlantis didn’t miss a chance to help. BRAVO!
Layout – The property covers several buildings, and looks like it has been renovated/added on to a few times. This makes getting around a bit of a maze-like experience at times. While a little inconvenient, the closeness of the areas to each other makes it less of an issue. Furthermore, the staff is always around to help with directions, and one day at Atlantis will have you familiar with anything you need to know.
Facilities – A cozy little roof top pool adds a GREAT touch to the property, and it is surrounded by a very large sun deck, which is great. The amount of pool towels should be increased, but wasn’t an issue considering the small number of people in the area. If there had been a larger crowd, it might have been a problem (albeit one the staff probably would have been right on top of).
Room Layout – The rooms are average size generally, with enough room to move around comfortably, if not quite spaciously.
Furniture and Bedding– The carpet, furniture and bathroom fixtures were presentable and neat, though worn (as is to be expected) from any vacation-heavy traffic area near a beach. The beds were firm enough and the bedding was on the better side of adequate (though still on par with value brand quality). There was a microwave and refrigerator that we did not make use of. The lighting in the room was more than adequate, with two bed lamps and another on the dresser. There was plenty of drawer space. The television was a tube type, but had a good enough picture and the cable channels were ok. We did not inquire about wi-fi in the room.
Room Extras – There were no extras to mention. There was no safe in the room and no mini-bar. There was no hair dryer and no coffee maker. These details don’t mean much to us, but they are provided for information purposes.
Housekeeping – Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. We asked for additional time in the morning, and they accommodated us very quickly once we did leave the room for the day.
Noise – The room was very quiet and getting to sleep was no problem.
Parking – Parking was included and close to the building. The Atlantis was gracious enough to allow us to stay parked in the lot until 3PM on check out day, though they gave us the feeling this was more due to the after-Labor-Day time of our stay than it would be during the height of the Summer.
Miscellaneous – There was a shower room behind the laundry which was for guests to use as a convenience when checking out, but wanting to have a few more hours at the beach before returning home. It is a great feature and we made use of it.
Overall – There may be cheaper places to stay in the Rehoboth Beach area, but it is doubtful they would be as close to the beach. There may be places closer to the beach, but they were almost all a great deal more expensive than the Atlantis. For location, price and service (especially on a budget), it is a property I would recommend confidently.
