AmericInn is a great hotel to stay with the family dog. Very clean and pretty, well decorated. The complimentary breakfast is very good...eggs, oatmeal,cold cereal, pastries..even a waffle maker! The pool is great for the kids, and I enjoyed the hot tub! All the staff is friendly and paid my little dog a lot of attention. I highly recommend this place if you want to visit Rehoboth and the surrounding area.

We were coming into town for a week long baseball tournament at Sports at the Beach and our condo check in was on Sunday so we needed one night in a hotel on Saturday night. I completely understand that beach towns make their revenue in season, but this was ridiculous. We were charged over $200 for one night. The room smelled like a wet dog. There were fans and ionizers in the hallways... obviously this was a recurrent problem. There was no hot water for the shower. The bathroom was a mess... falling apart. There was a hair dryer provided... the cord was completely frayed and it was a fire hazard. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. Breakfast was almost non existant and what was there was bad. There was a waffle maker. and one of the guests made a waffel that tasted terrible. When she talked to the hostess about it, she said "oh yea, something's wrong with the batter" but made no effort to remove it. What can I say? Disgusting.

The free breakfast includes make-your-own waffles, boiled eggs, little bagels, English muffins, etc. Very good and filling. Since it's pet-friendly, we were afraid that dogs barking would keep us awake, but no, as soon as the door is shut, you can hear a pin drop. Nice room and friendly service. Only things that could be improved: slightly firmer beds (though they were comfortable) and more generous portions of shampoo and soap (they look like baby toys). We'll come back, though, because the value and comfort are excellent.

My husband and I frequent Rehoboth beach because of the shore and the shopping yet we never had a chance to bring our Dog with us until now. The hotel itself is average at best however you would never be able to tell that this was an animal friendly hotel. The rooms were clean and there were no smells of past pets that some hotels have. The staff were extremely friendly and really helped us when we needed opinions of local seafood restaurants. Great proximity to the Shopping Outlets and Beach, although its not within walking distance to either. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any pet owner!
