“Perfect, romantic getaway -- as long as you don't stay in the room that we did.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

At Melissa's is a delightful little B&B on a quieter side street in Rehoboth. It is very close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping yet tucked back for a little R&R and people watching. It was lovely to sit out on the front porch and sip a glass of wine before heading out for dinner. Melissa's friend, who was watching the B&B for her the weekend that we were there, was very nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My only disappointment was our room. While it was very tastefully done and had a private bathroom, our room was right next to the main door to the B&B and had a window that opened to the porch. We could hear everyone and everyone could hear us. I was able to look at a few of the upstairs rooms and they were much larger and much more private.

“Perfect relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

My girlfriend and I just got back from a girl's weekend in Rehoboth beach. After reading so many wonderful reviews about "At Melissa's" we decided to give it a try. This was a last minute getaway so we were limited where we could stay. Well, what we experienced was even more splendid than any reviews stated. Melissa, the owner, of this 100 years old this year, B&B couldn't have been any more gracious and hospitable. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a glass of wine and told to help ourselves to wine/beer any time. There's a fridge in the dining room where there's always cold white wine, room temp red and cold beer waiting. We stayed in Room 6, King bed, plush linens, comfy bed and private bath...no tub, only shower but a nice one with great water pressure. Melissa has EVERYTHING available that you may possibly need...ie, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, ice packs, and fresh beach towels to borrow. The backyard has a heated outdoor shower, tables for eating or relaxing and a grill to use if one should choose. Not only is Melissa lovely, but all the other guests we encountered were as well, many of whom are repeat (several times) patrons....this tells you something. Fri and Sat eve we sat on the beautiful, big front porch before dinner, sipping wine and chatting with Melissa and the other guests. I can't tell you how welcomed and at home I felt. Never before have I had such a reception...truly one of a kind and definitely worth going back. My friend and I were enjoying being away from our busy households and children and we couldn't have left there any more relaxed. It was a superbly enjoyable weekend. Thank you Melissa! We'll be back. Oh, almost forgot the incredible spread for breakfast. First you wake to the yummy smell of delicous food...serve yourself waffle irons, fruit, yogurt with many toppings, muffins, sausage, bacon (one or the other) and many other goodies I'm forgetting to mention. Also, there are mimosas and bloody mary's if you choose. There's an industrial coffee machine that serves coffee, espresso, cappucino, you name it, it's there...also hot water for tea and many teas to choose from...this is all 24 hrs/day...I'm telling you, it's terrific.

“Nice spot, but overpriced and the place needs better upkeep.”

Was our first trip to Rehoboth. We liked the town and the location of the B&B. Also liked the old house, but it was a bit tired and needs better upkeep. Liked the complimentary food and snacks through the day (although the red wine is awful). Overall, a nice stay, but overpriced.

“At Melissa's is the perfect little getaway.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2010

We greatly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the B&B, which is only a short walk off the main road in Rehoboth. Melissa is a fantastic host, who knows how to provide service without being intrusive. I highly recommend At Melissa's.

“A Great Place To Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2010

At Melissa's was a wonderful place to stay and Melissa is the hostess with the mostest!! Everything about this B&B was wonderful and we can't wait to go back again. The room was wonderful and what a comfortable bed - I wanted to bring it home with me. Great food, wine, company and a wonderful atmosphere. Melissa was always there to make our stay perfect. The location is great -- you can park your car and walk to area restaurants, bars and shops. This was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday and Valentines day. Thanks for eveything Melissa!!!
