I needed a cheap room when I was in Newark looking for an apartment. This was conveniently pretty close to UD's campus and, other than just looking a bit old and run down, my room was clean and reasonably comfortable.The free breakfast is really good and there's wifi. I would say it definitely met my expectations for the price and there were no unpleasant surprises.

It was dark, and we needed a place to stay. Lucky for us we found the HJ! Front desk could not have been nicer. Room was close to the door. Wonderful breakfast the next morning.

Terrible, disgusting, not too much else to say. Sleepaway bed had blood stains and mold on mattress, discovered stray cat sleeping in our room upon check-in. Everythign was so disgusting!

Was pleasantly surprised with our stay here. The outside appearance of the building looks
old and possibly run down, so we were worried. But once inside, we found our room to be
just fine. It was clean, and well kept. The bed was quite comfortable and we had a fridge,
microwave and alarm clock - all of which worked ! The breakfast buffet was very good -
delicious hot waffles and fresh pastries, good coffee.. Was nice to see an attendant keeping an eye on things and refilling as needed. Front desk service was helpful. Easy access off the
highway, lots of restaurants close by. Our only complaint was the lack of hot water in the
shower - it was just lukewarm. Will most likely stay here when in the area again.
