“This is a terrible Hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

The staff is rude and they have no elevator. How can they have AARP sign with no elevator. We were there for a family reunion with several elderly relatives. We had to deal with an extremely rude front desk clern, incompetent management and some of the rooms smelled bad. I would stay at another hotell if at all possible, but I think they get away with this because it is in a good location and some of the rooms have been renovated. If you must stay here, get a second floor rooms. They are much better. The lobby had old furniture and is connected to a bar and/or nightclub. There was an event there Saturday night and many hotel guests could not even find parking spaces. Do not stay here, There is a Staybridge right beside it for a much higher rate and I think that's how they get customers too. One more thing, the breakfast was total yuck...unpalatable rice we had never seen before. Ramada needs to fire everyone, complete renovations and/or tear the place down.

“Misleading”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

We stayed in this hotel because we had a softball tournament in Delaware and it was booked by an agent in charge of the tournament. All seemed fine until we woke up in the morning and found bugs in the beds. My daughter's bed was the worse. She ended up bitten all over her face and body. The bites were so many she ended up with an allergic reaction and had to be taken to the doctor cause the Benadril alone was not enough. Now I have the problem that she is afraid to stay at any hotel. When we approached the guy at the front desk, he tried to act like he had no clue what it was and acted like it was no big deal.

“Scammers! Beware! Rip Off!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2011

Booked through priceline and was guaranteed a rate. Got to the hotel at which time they charged me a higher rate. When I complained the manager became very rude and belligerent with me, stated in a threatening manner that he already had my credit card information and insinuated that he could charge me whatever he liked. When I checked with my bank, they had in fact charged me even more than the original upcharge I complained about. I had to dispute this with my bank and go through a whole process to get my money back. If you stay here, be sure your rate is what it’s supposed to be before handing over your credit card. This place will try to upcharge you and will become nasty when you confront them about it. I know this was a scam, they were hoping I didn't notice! Beware!

There was a misunderstanding as the guest made a boooking on line through a 3rd party website. Since the booking had not come through the guest was checked in at the rack rate.
When checking out the guest showed her papers and the difference in the rate was adjusted immediately.
She was given the receipt and explained the charges. She was upset and we apologized and tried to explain the charges again- we showed her that we did not overcharge her and that the difference in the rate had been adjusted right in front of her. Obviously she was not ready to accept the facts and had her own views and arguments. The bottom line being that we did not overcharge or charge a higher rate than she booked the room for. We are sorry if there was a misunderstanding or any inconvenience as we did not have any intentions of upsetting the guest. Thank you.

“Close to I-95”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

We had to stay in Delaware to complete our tour of New England. This place had some mixed reviews, but it was a pretty nice place to stay the night. It is close to I-95, not far from a huge mall and there are restaurants and stores within easy reach. The room was clean, well furnished and there was also a restaurant on site. Breakfast was great with a choice of 3 hot dishes. 2 reasonably priced gas stations within a block of the hotel.

Room Tip: Get a local map from the lobby if you do go out.

“Stayed here before, but we were very disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2011

I have stayed at this Ramda in the past, and the service was excellent. I noticed they have done some renovation this time, and the bed sleep slept so good!!!! I bragged to my wife about their continental breakfast, and the gentleman that kept the guest supplied with plenty of food. But this time, the breakfast was very disappointing!!!!!! For 3 days straight they continued to bring out some type of potato and pepper dish, my wife said, " This looks like the same food from yesterday, no bacon, ham or any other meat was served. We ate only the cereal that was there, so we decided to go across the street to another restaurant to have breakffast. We did notice too, that there were only 2 to 3 families eating breakfast, many like ourselves went to other places to eat. The gentleman that was running the breakfast line does not work there anymore, and it was "VERY NOTICEABLE!!!" Yes our stay was "Pleasant," but I hope they improve on their continental breakfast!!! They should take notice from a Bestwestern that I stayed at in Grass Valley, CA, 2 years ago " A WONDERFUL CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, AND WAS FULL EVERY MORNING!!!!!!!" It was just like eating breakfast at home!!!!!
