The first room we had, the door would not lock . When i asked the guy at the first desk "could he fix the door" ...he told me that there was nothing wrong with it ....me and my wife had to leave to take care of some business and called 3 hours later and asked again was the door fixed....the man replied "yes, the door is fixed" ....got back 2 hrs after that and the door was still broken ...then i went to the desk to tell him and he asked "what door?"....i asked him to come check it out and he finally gave me another room. This room smelled like somebody had alcohol poisoning and they tried to hurry up and clean before we go there.....i have never smelled any room that bad in my life and i have been deployed to Iraq ....twice ...we had to open both windows and open and close the door every five mins...

Was visiting my son at the university, my room was clean. I rated it average because it's not a fancy type of hotel, but it didn't seem to be that old either. You can walk to many restaurants or just have something delivered to your room. Parking was easy and so was check in. The man at the desk even printed something up for us that we needed at the airport. The free breakfast needs improvement, I made my own coffee in my room.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Newark, DE while on a business trip to the nearby University of Delaware Campus. Since I am a University of Delaware Alumni, I wanted to also meet up with some old friends and check out Main Street at the same time. This hotel is the only one that is within walking distance to Main street and the rest of campus. It is a great location for anybody that has business on campus. I found the hotel staff to be very polite and they quickly got me checked in to my room. This hotel by far had the cheapest rates in the area, and the rooms were clean and perfect for business travel. It is by no means a 5 star hotel, but it is not advertised as such. I will definitely stay there again when I come back to visit University of Delaware and I recommend others to do the same.

we got 2 rooms. when i shut the door there was 3 holes in door where a mouse or snake could crawl thru. i went to ask for another room and the manager said he didn't understand that there was not a problem this was a clean motel. i said and my house is clean and i have mice in my basement. well he gave me another room and then we found out the air conditioner wouldn't work. it was 93. my husband had wet hair and i had wet underwear time we went to bed. the mirror that should have been hanging on the wall was laying on the floor and big pieces taken out of the tv stand. the lights were pluged in the outlet and kept falling out. the bathroom window was open and no screen over it. the comode rocked back and forth when you sit on it. one of the concrete steps was broken and they could have broken off more and caused an accident. when we called the manager to come look at the air conditioner he was really rude and told us there was no problem. this was room 217. the other room had a dirty mirror and the hair dryer would not work. my dad went outside and when he tried to get back in my mom couldn't open the door and he had to take the card to get back in. now what if the room had caught fire. my mom could have died there.

there was partying going on all night. i stood at the window and watched 4 men have a party on the hood of their car and next to ours. then there were 2 girls running thru the parking lot. then a car went thru the parking lot with a man walking beside it. and now this was around 3 am. the loud cursing and talking went on until later. i was so scarred that i got about 2 hours sleep. i thought about calling 911 because my elderly parents were on the first floor where all that was going on. if we had know the roads in maryland and we hadn't been afraid to leave for the people outside we would have gotten up and hunted another motel. the next morning we left and was so happy. that night we found another motel that was clean and peaceful and got a good nights sleep. but we told that motel manager about your motel and she knocked $50 off our price. she even took the name of your motel. we have spread the word with our family that lives there so maybe no one we know will have to go thru what we did. and my husband said to tell you that we will never stay at another motel 8 ever again and everyone that reads this should never stay at one if you value you life. all the above is true.
