I spent two nights at the Econo Lodge while visiting my daughter for parents weekend at UDel. I left it a little late booking a room and everything else was either booked up or incredibly expensive. I wouldn't normally not have stayed at this hotel but having said that, it provided what we wanted - which was a clean, comfortable room for the night. Also for $54 including breakfast - that was about a third of what everyone else was charging that weekend. On the downside, the rooms open onto the car park which could be a little creepy. Also, it's next to the highway so noise was a bit of a problem although we solved that by putting on the fan which drowned out all background noise. The room was clean and had been recently recarpeted and decorated. The bathroom was quite poor - small with very cheap fittings. The shower head was new though and gave a good shower. Also, the towels were plentiful and quite good. Breakfast comprised of coffee, juice, fruit, cereal (two kinds) and toast . Next time I will try to book ahead and get into a better class hotel - but if not, I would not be adverse to staying here again.
