This is a plain simple hotel - perfect if you want a place to sleep for the evening. Convenient ot U Delaware, Main Street and I 95.

Clean rooms, bathroom. Friendly staff.

Modest breakfast to get you going in the am.

It was my first time staying in Newark, DE. The Sleep Inn looked promising via the photos and the price range. Upon entering my 2nd floor room, I was happy with the visual look for a standard room. The trouble began when I used the sink. The water did not go down. I immediately called the front desk, requested maintenance. I was told they were not available until morning, so, the front desk told me I would received $10.00 off my bill. After I checked out, I was later discovered I was, in fact, charged an additional $10.00! Believe me when I tell you, I had to go through several managers and a full week before this mistake was corrected. I will not go to a Sleep Inn, or Choice Hotel chain again.

"You get what you pay for" -- these days, decent, clean accommodations run between $60 & $100 a night, even in (especially in?) a college town. My wife & I visited my nephew, a freshman at UDel February 26-28, 2011. I don't believe it was a big game weekend or anything, but we got this place for $75 a night. The room was comfortable for the two of us, the shower had ample water pressure and size, and was certainly quiet enough for us to get some sleep. 24/7 coffee & routine continental breakfast was what you'd expect, & the desk staff, while stressed, was courteous & competent. Yes, we could hear the TV from the adjoining room; yes, the doors slam loudly -- but it's not billed as a Hilton & you don't pay through the nose.

I was in need of a late checkout after driving all through the night and in the snow.. They would only give it to me until 1 pm.. I asked for a later time and they said it would cost me an additional nights stay..

If I can help it.. My company won't use this hotel again..

Not to mention their snow plow trapped my vehicle in the snow..
