This place deserves 5 strikes.

1. Location in adjacent to a fire station, which had at least one call every evening.
2. Access in and out of the location is very poor and I felt I had to go out of my way. Traffic can be very heavy on the road which also makes it difficult to get in and out.
3. Cleaning staff turned off A/C every day and opened window. This made room uncomfortably hot when I returned from work site in the afternoon.
4. The housekeeping staff did not leave any towels in the room for the last two days of my stay.
5. Beds are uncomfortable and the pillow are skimpy.

Overall, the place seems run down and I got the impression that the management is cutting costs at the expense of the guests.

This is a place to avoid.

We stopped here for one night, on our way south. We checked the mattress first, and no bugs. The blanket had "something" on it, so we pulled that off onto the floor. The room smelled musty. The lobby smelled like smoke, even though there was a No Smoking sign. The plug for the bathroom sink was lying on the sink. We didn't even bring our luggage inside. We just brought in the clothes we would need for the next day! The motel has weekly rent rates, so there are construction workers staying. The continental breakfast was bagels, juice, cereal, coffee. The only good thing is that it was cheap. We would never have areason to stop here again, but would not recommend.

Although they are next to the fire sation, it was a good stay. I know they can't do anything about the fire station, if you stay on the even side of the building its better. Because of this I had the front desk change my room and they gladly did. The staff all the way from housekeeping to the manager was extremely nice and helpful. They made me feel very welcomed and appreciated.

next to firehouse, i was awoken by the loud sirens 2x in a day. this is another essential stop we have to make before we make it to home. i don't think i saved money because a one night is $75 and there are other hotels around that charges the same price. i run away when i saw a bed bug on the bed cover in room 317. this floor's carpet was stained and there was a room that was opened and destroyed which made me feel unsafe. i asked the desk person to give us another room. she gave 2 rooms to check. one has micro/fridge w/o extra cost, however, in my horror, when i opened the bed sheet i found an insect and the bed cover needs to be replaced. i don't think the bed covers are replaced each time guest come in. i inspected another room and finally, i approved it that it would be okay for the night. the desk person recommended the other hotels across. it is not about the level/status of lodging but how the cleaning staffs clean the rooms and the hallway. cleaning staffs should learn how to clean. they need to join the army so they can learn to clean thoroughly. manager gretchen also needs to monitor the areas that the cleaning staffs cleaned to ensure cleanliness is next to goodness. the bottomline is that the manager should train, monitor her staffs specially cleaning staffs to do the best job. super 8 will never be super in reviews even if they call themselves super because that's only in their belief. in addition, 'superstart' breakfast is not really super. what does a coffee and bagel w/ cream cheese will not make a person super perform the day and when the room itself is not clean, it will make you feeling unsuper.
