“Loved it! A step back in time.”

We had the most wonderful stay at the Inn at Montchanin Village. It was like going back to a quaint village in France. The little cobblestone street and cute cottages were so awesome and the food at the Krazy Kats Restaurant was delicious. It made for an unforgettable visit and we plan to go back soon. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
What a pleasant time.

“elegant small hotel: worth another visit”

Well-furnished 2-room 'cottage': all the expected amenities [incl. a gas fireplace to cut the room-chill]. Comfortable furniture, good lighting, and perfectly quiet. The 'Great Room' /guest lounge was perfect for some wine/cheese/hot tea before dinner. Good food at the restaurant. An excellent breakfast selection [although getting more coffee refills did take more time than anticipated.]

The week-day package was very good value. Would recommmend.

“Casually Elegant; just what we hoped for!”

We recently stopped on our way to take our son to college. Turndown service was very special and bathrooms were updated and enormous! Nicest bed I have ever slept in at a hotel/inn. We had 8 people dine at Krazy Kat's on a Saturday night. We stayed for 3 hours--no one rushed us through and we had a fantastic dinner. It was truly a delight and we will certainly stay again.

Room Tip: Each room is individual; we had a two bedroom townhouse

“The Little Prince was pleased”

Call my spouse the "Little Prince," since he's picky. Booked a lower priced suite here for a trip to Brandywine River Valley. When arrived, we asked about the larger rooms and were offered the "Dupont" for a discounted price. Beautiful spacious room with nice antiques, large marble bath. Husband loved the space, I loved the Keurig coffeemaker. Inn has a "no host" cocktail hour in the lobby, with an honor bar, a nice touch which we enjoyed. Restaurant on premises was also very, very good. Will return!

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 June 2011

The Inn itself has wonderfully gracious workers and amenities. Think coffee, tea, biscotti each day as you'd like!
The rooms are completely individual, so select carefully. We had a great one-bedroom suite (the Belin), with an incredible bathroom and nice living area. But the three skylights over the bed aren't for everyone, as the shades don't fully cover them. Our friends in the Victor had a charming living area and nice bedroom, but a mediocre bath.
The restaurant, Krazy Kat's, has wonderful food at every meal. Fabulous way to begin or end the day (we did both!). Perfect location for the museums around the area.
