While in Delaware to mourn the loss of my sister, we stayed at the AmericInn in Milford. Upon checking in, the staff treated us as though we were family.
The funeral was on a Friday evening and we were looking for a space to have some sort of gathering afterwards, as a restaurant would be too busy to serve us. The manager offered us the conference room in the hotel, which was a load off our minds.
However, not knowing the funeral plans at the time we booked the room, we had only booked our room until Thursday, and the hotel was fully booked for the weekend due a large event going on in neighboring Dover. Upon hearing this, we set about finding another place to stay, even though we had to cater and host the gathering at AmericInn the next night. Wilma then shuffled some things around and allowed us to stay in our original room for the duration of our stay and if that weren’t enough, she had even made a small meal for us to serve at the gathering.
The management and staff at the hotel made what was a grievous, unfortunate trip, very comfortable and heartwarming. We highly recommend Wilma and her entire staff to anyone traveling to Milford or Rehoboth. They will welcome you and treat you like family. Thanks again!
