We stayed for three mid-week days in mid Sept. Our room overlooked the bay on the 2nd floor. I highly recommend that location. The room was "very" clean. They replaced the soap daily as well as an abundance of fresh towels. The office staff and the cleaning staff were all pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend The Bay Resort.

We loved the location of this motel; amazing bay view and a short walk to the beach! Surprisingly clean for a "motel"... Staff seemed excited to have us stay and were more than helpful with any questions we had. Loved everything about it!

Dewey Beach is a great choice if you want to visit the Delaware beaches without battling crowds or being besieged by expensive and overstimulating boardwalk life. It's beautiful and low-key. And staying at the Bay Resort proved a perfect fit for our family.

The room was very basic; don't expect fancy fixtures or high-end furnishings. And there was a bit of a musty smell (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). But everything was very clean, we had a great balcony overlooking the pool, and the kitchenette was perfect for making simple meals, which saved us a lot of money and hassle. (If you need anything beyond the most basic kitchen equipment -- e.g., if you want to strain pasta through a colander) -- bring it with you.) Nice pool, wonderful dock out by the bay, and a short two-block walk to the beach. All in all, an excellent value and an ideal setting for a peaceful, fun, low-cost family getaway.

The staff at the Bay Resort were super-friendly; they let us keep our car in their parking lot all afternoon on the day we checked out, so we could continue playing at the beach, and cheerfully let us use their outdoor shower and indoor bathroom when we returned.

My boyfriend and I spent 4 days here and had an awesome time. As soon as we got there ( which was about 3 hours before check in time) we were able to park our car and get all of our information in with the front desk. They were very nice and let us change and leave our car there to go down to the beach until our room was ready (they let us in an hour before we were to be there). Everyone that works there were more then kind , helpful, and happy people who made our stay wonderful. The location is great to walk to the beach as well as many places to eat and bars. The views from the bay side rooms are beautiful and having a stove and everything there made it fun to make dinner in the room and eat on the balcony. We will stay here again for sure.
