I have never been so mad in my life, they gave us a hotel room were the door was open and had someones stuff in it!!!!!! They said it was clean yea right with someones things in it, and the bed unmade. And when we checked in fees we weren't suppose to have were there!! And the pool was being used the whole weekend some other group, there was no time at all for anyone else to use it. so we left and stayed at the fairfield inn which we love!!!

Room Tip: don't stay here

“Not worth it”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2011 via mobile

I never write reviews about hotels but this one I got to just to save some people from a bad experience.
-Sliding doors won't lock, anyone from outside can open them.
-ac/heater don't work
-no small fridge available
- bathroom not clean
-pool not working
-above average breakfast
-Worst of it, the staff knows all this they just don't care, literally don't care, don't bother trying to annoy them with your concerns or issues.

This place was obviously once a great hotel but it has run it course and needs to be close down.

“Never Again !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 April 2011

We went to this hotel because we flew in late at the Bradley Intl airport and just wanted somewhere cheap to stay. We checked out prices at Hotels.com and the hotels there where in range of what was listed on the internet, ranging from 75-99$. We saw this hotel for $55 a night and decided to stay there, it was already 11pm. We pulled up and I ran in to ask their rates. The hotel was leaking and there were buckets on the floor. It looked old and run-down, but we just needed a place to sleep. So I went to the counter. A black family was negotiating prices with the black night manager at the desk (you will understand why I mentioned the color of the participants, read on). The night manager said he could have a room for $52/night. I went back out to my spouse to let him know that the rates where similar to what we found on hotels.com. He parked the car and we walked in together to get a room. The family was still haggling when we came back in and then the manager wrote something on a piece of paper and said how about this price, He slipped the paper to the head of the family. The man said now we have a deal. So, I know the price he gave this family was LESS than 52$. Then it was our turn, We, a white couple , walked up to the counter in this run down hotel and asked what the rate was. He looked at us and said 75$ /night. What ! We said we saw it cheaper on the internet and the others got a lower rate than that. We were told they have to have a better deal on the internet because they use a third party vendor and that was the rate! Of course, we left. Imagine if the tables were turned, the black panthers would be sitting outside with billy clubs. I guess because we were white, they thought we would pay more. We went to La Quinta for $79.00.

“I'm glad I brought my gun...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 March 2011

1) The kid (20?) at the desk answered the phone on SPEAKER, I heard every word the other person said.
2) The missing ceiling tiles prompted a question about renovations… The answer: "New owners, the last one didn't pay taxes."
3) Bar? Closed.
4) Restaurant? Closed by Health Inspector (according to the kid) for not having sanitizer in the sinks.
5) Pool? Couldn't see it, surrounded by drapes, probably a good reason.
6) Halls smelled "funny".
7) Signs on printer paper for exits, bathrooms, etc.
8) A 10 year old girl was at the desk complaining about losing a dollar in a game, the clerk basically said "Not our machine, not our problem." I gave her a dollar.
9) sliding glass door to my room had NO lock or bar. I carry, I'm 6'4" 300 pounds, wasn't worried. 98% of other people probably would be. A .40 cal semiauto under my pillow means I didn't.
10) Both soda machines were empty. "Not our machines…"
11) At 3am when the "Religious Retreat" teens had kept me tossing and turning for 3 hours the desk clerk Susan answered the phone with "Hello". I complained, she said "Nothing I can do, they have no curfew." Downhill from there… I suggested the Police might have something to say about "Disturbing the Peace", she said it was too late to complain since I hadn't called earlier. Conversation deteriorated when I suggested she call Chaperones and wake THEM, or even call parents at home. She hung up on me. While I was deciding whether or not to exercise my "Freedom of Speech" to explain proper hotel decorum, the "Resident Manager" Harold called to tell me he had been down the hall and sent the kiddies to bed. I told him that that was a good idea, since THIS 300 pound biker was almost ready to do it myself, probably LESS politely.
12) Dunno about the free continental breakfast, slept through it.
13) Couldn't have coffee, coffee maker in the room was broken.
14) Only good thing… When I called this morning and got the General Manager Frank Falagna, he refunded my money in full. Then he hung up the phone.
15) Never again, not me, no way!
16) Oh, the room was clean, didn't smell, the tv worked (a little fuzzy until warmed up), the shower was hot, all the lights and heat worked.
So, Service sucked, the room was clean, the rest not, the location was convenient, the value was terrible for what I paid for, but ok since I ended up paying nothing. Not quite the worst place I have stayed, but damn close.
