“Wonderful, inexpensive place to stay with two preschoolers for a wedding!”

Great location- our two children (ages 3 and 4) were in a wedding on the Yale campus. We had no trouble getting to and from for the rehearsal dinner and wedding itself.

Room was clean, housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful (we encountered them when having some trouble getting into our room). Nice television- we were disappointed when we realized there was a pool and we didn't know.

Kids AND my husband and I appreciated the breakfast in the lobby downstairs. Made our lives much easier. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommended! I don't think we could have made a better choice.

Room Tip: ask for a room close to the elevator if you have smaller children. Bring your bathing suit!

“New Haven Area - Great for Personnel & Business Stays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

Stayed there for 3 nights the week of Dec 4, 2011. The hotel location is convenient to Yale and to major businesses in the West Haven/New Haven. Restaurants and convenience stores are very close by which is helpful if you will not have a car. The hotel is fairly new and very, very clean. It just about exceeded my expectations for a Hampton Inn. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room, although partially facing the street and the Texas Roadhouse restaurant next door, was acceptably quiet. Noises from inside the hotel were minimal. Was able to sleep very well each night. The hotel and room had all expected amenitites. No complaints here!!

“Great Stopover !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

We were driving from JFK to Cape Cod after a transatlantic flight and wanted to break the drive. We booked a room here prior to our trip. The hotel staff were extremely courteous and efficient, the room was very large and spotlessly clean, with all the necessary amenities. The room was quiet even though the I-95 runs next to the hotel. Highly recommended stopover hotel.

“No complaints, all good”

Stayed here for 3 nights, last week of November . No complaints. This appears to be a new hotel , so everything is in good shape . I did not attach any photos as if you have stayed at a Hampton Inn, you know what you will see. If you are here without a car, about a $22-26 cab from the VERY TINY Tweed airport. Directly next door is a Texas Roadhouse restaurant, but did not see anything else in a short walk. Breakfast here is good as well. Like I said, no issues here, little steep on price , but being a newer hotel was kind of worth it.

“Great hotel for visiting New Haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

This hotel was very good for our visit to our son at Yale. We arrived there in the October blizzard after driving 4.5 hours in the snow from New Jersey. The hotel was warm and comfortable, with a fireplace where I could warm my feet and read a book. Although it would have been more convenient to stay right in New Haven, this was a relatively short drive and much less expensive.
