Older hotel but, clean. Lobby is nicer than rooms. Desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Had the best continental breakfast. In the room carpet was dusty in corner. Not bad for the money.

I used to stay at this hotel for business weekly years ago. My company did work in the area and I have made several friends here after a year of Monday through Thursday at this hotel. I came back into Waterbury to visit my friends and wanted to stay at my favorite hotel. I was devistated to see what has become of it. First of all the cheap undersized lobby furniture was dirty. The "renovation" is pathetic. Then I asked for Monica. Much to my dismay the general manager I knew and loved has moved on, I can't blame her. She was outstanding and the company she worked for was outstanding. I can't remember who they were but the two guys were Jim and Chet. I can see why it has become dirty, run down and full of rude employees. I hear it's closing down. I can see why. I am willing to bet if you brought back that dream team you would again find success!

looked decent online...but it was filthy and in a scary, horrible neighbord...LOOKED OVER AT MY SONS BED AT 1AM AFTER HE HAD BEEN SLEEPING IN IT FOR AN HOUR AND THERE WERE BEDBUGS!!!! drove home in the middle of the night!!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!! i did get a refund....

We made a reservation for 3 on Hotwire. When we arrived, we were told we were in a king room and there were no rooms for us with 2 beds. The manager did not care at all about helping us, saying that since we booked through Hotwire, there was nothing she could do and we were not guaranteed 2 beds. . We went up to the room and noticed there was a door to an adjoining room. My husband went back down and asked if we could have that room for no charge if it was available so they could accomodate us. She was told it was, "illegal," to give us that room without paying for it. Seriously! We then called Hotwire and were very happy with the service rep who helped us. She refunded our money and found us a room across the street at the Marriot (a little better hotel so it was a little more, but still a great price). We were so happy to go back and tell the manager that we were leaving. We told her Hotwire said the reservation for 3 guaranteed us 2 beds and she didn't care. At one point she offered a crib (for my 6 year old!). Other than the horrible service, we also thought the rooms were old and smelled almost had a burnt smell...maybe from the old heating/cooling system. Don't stay here.
