Our family started going to coco-key 3yrs, our 1st yr was GREAT, our 2nd year was WONDERFUL,but sad to said our 3yr was HORRIBLE, will never go back, check in we knew would not be easy (because it was New Year's Day) rooms were suppose to be ready by 3:00 well we couldn't check in until about 5:00, dinner was not what anyone expected, when we ask speak to the manager, the owner came by, heard what we said and looked at us has if he understood nothing, we then found out these are new owners, would not recommend it to anyone...

I recently stayed there with my family on 1/14/12. I had read the reviews and was a little worried but my kids wanted to go how could i say no. The fd staff were kind and the check in process was smooth we had plenty of questions since it was our first time thier and the fd staff were very helpful our room was great. We heard some comotion in hallway we peeked out the door and saw police men along with hotel staff addressing some issues which later in the evening we asked what was going on and were told for the hotel guest saftey we had asked some guest to leave. Which was shocking but yet a breathe of fresh air to know that hotel mamangement or willing to get the police involve to keep us all safe. we so enjoyed the waterpark the staff were alert my daughter had fallen earlier in the day and they young guy i can't remember his name but he remembered my daughter and everytime we walked passed him he smiled and made sure we were okay. Im glad i took my daughter and will definetly be back this summer. Its a shame what reviews are written because we had a great experinece

We decided to take this trip last minute. We arrive new years eve eve. We thought of going to Great Wolf... but decided that this might be better for our 3 yr old daughter. We have been to Great Wolf in the Poconos. Honestly GW was Spectacular .Over all Value Coco key is excellent. We paid a fraction of the price...and had just as much fun. Room was large, check in was easy...wish they had more in the indoor water area but it was fine for a young child to splash around in. There is a friendlys close by that we took a break and had dinner at. Breakfast the next morning was on the road as we headed home. There is food at the Hotel.. but we wanted a break from the water area. We had an excellent time as a family. We would return and we would recommend this to families with young children.

We stayed overnight August 18-19, 2011. We paid cash. On Jan 9th, I had two charges to my account used to book the reservation. Now they say I didn't pay in August and are charging my account now.
I don't see how this is legal. I thought my identity had been stolen, freezed my bank account, spent endless time on the telephone with my bank and trying to get some sort of answer from the "resort".
Regarding our actual stay, we received a credit to our account due to bugs being in our room, the wall having a 1/2" gap between the ceiling and the wall starting, leaving us to hear the very loud neighbor we had next to us starting at 5:30 a.m. The waterpark smells so strongly on chlorine, it burns your eyes. The playscape was in disrepair; half of it did not have any water running. It was overrun with camps and their audult counselors were playing basketball, dunking on each other, with the smaller children just left there to sit and watch them. When I asked the lifeguard to intervene so the kids could play, she said she couldn't tell them to give the ball to the kids. It was unsafe for my smaller children to be in that part, with the roughhousing going on. And the playscape had half of it not working.
We tried to go to the restaurant in the hotel, waited forever for drinks, our appetizer came out cold, and after 25 minutes, we still didn't have drinks. The food was fine, but the waiting for it was outrageous. The next day, there was a breakfast buffet, it looked dirty and empty, so we wanted to order from the menu. We were told that there's only one kitchen and the kitchen is making room service so we'd have to wait 45 minutes if we ordered from the menu. After reporting this to the front desk, we received a discount. It was a complete disappointment on all levels.
To top it all off, after deciding we would never stay there or go to that "water resort" again, After 6 months, the company now decides to run our card used for the reservation?!!!
The accounting manager in the corporate office relayed this happened to 200 people. OUTRAGEOUS!!!
