Stayed one night there. The place appears to be an old Holiday Inn renovated into the Express product. Room was clean. An adequate, but certainly not memorable, accommodation. Would we stay there again? I guess so. If there were a Microtel nearby I would choose that instead - but there isn't. Breakfast was ok. Dry scrambled eggs under a heat lamp seems to be all-too standard these days.

I am a HIE priority club member. I expect to pay about $100 and in turn I expect clean, comfortable rooms. First room we were given the a/c did not work and the room smelled of smoke. Second room, A/c worked but slowly - but did cool down the room in time for us to go to sleep. The rooms are smaller and more cramped than usual, there is a moderate amount of wear, and we found hairs and spiderwebs in the shower. All in all, I would say this place feels more like a Days Inn then a HIE.

We stopped here for an overnight during a long road trip. Staff was very helpful by phone when making some arrangements. Hotel is not far from interstate, which was convenient. My only real complaint is that the side door, which was supposed to be accessible only by room key, was not locked. I prefer hotels with interior hallways for the added security, and that kind of defeated the purpose.

I stayed here to attend a seminar in nearby Manchester, CT. The front desk staff was very friendly and I was informed that the owner renovates the hotel all the time. The 1 bedroom King suite was very clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. This Holiday Inn Express is trying the suite concept, which isn't really needed. It looked like they took two rooms and opened up a wall in between to combine them into a suite. The room for sleeping opens up into the living/ TV area without a door or wall which is fine if you don't mind the lack of privacy. The living/ TV area and kitchen areas seemed to be a bit chopped up without having a logical floor plan.

I'd return because it is so convenient to the best pizza I have ever had- Frank Pepe Pizza in Manchester, CT.
