The hallway and room was dirty (e.g., hairs in the shower). The alarm in the room next to us went off at 5 am and didn't turn off. After 10 minutes of it, we called the front desk to ask them to turn it off. 15 minutes later, it was still going so we called again and they didn't answer. Since we had to wake up at 6 am anyway, we just tried to ignore it.

It's one thing to book a cheap hotel knowing it's not going to be the best. It's another showing up, waiting over a half hour in the lobby with no one talking to me about why my room isn't ready. After the manager went outside to talk to one of his mates for a half hour someone else had to tell me my room wouldn't be ready for another half hour. I'm not from this small town, but this is unacceptable. The hotel wasn't even close to being full.... Unless you count 5 cars in the parking lot packed. Rude service, inexcusable behavior, stay far far away.

A bargain. Clean rooms, quiet, no foul odors, nice continental breakfast, pets allowed, & convenient access for the handicapped. The management accommodated my request for a refrigerator & microwave promptly. It was a very nice escape from hurricane Irene. But admittedly I've stayed in better--for $150 per night and up! You won't be disappointed with your stay here.
