Stayed here for two nights in September 2011. What I liked: Lovely grounds and covered porch; great location that's walking distance to shops and restaurants; friendly, accommodating staff; spacious room; bathroom and linens were clean; good AC, water pressure, and hot water in shower; free Wifi; it's pet-friendly. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I return to Simsbury. Also, it was in the dark basement, not the light-filled ground-floor lobby rooms and porch. Several outlets in the room (including those at the desk) did not seem to work, making it difficult to find a place to iron with the small, desktop ironing board provided. I never found the gulde to the hotel and area attractions that was in other rooms. Bottom line, nothing was so terrible that I would not stay there again, but more attention to maintenance and small details could make a big difference.
Room Tip: 202 was a nice, light-filled corner room; my third-floor room was under the eaves and had sloped ce...
