This was just an overnight trip for a funeral of my husbands grandmother. I booked through Hotwire, and the price was reasonable. We checked in around 1pm, after an eight hour drive from Maryland and the room was ready. The room was spacious with two queen size beds, a microwave, a small refrigerator and 40 inch TV. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Everything was as well as can be expected from Holiday Inn Express, and yes they have wifi in the room, slow but working wi-fi. Breakfast started at 6:30AM. The normal fare for a hotel breakfast, cereal, eggs, biscuits, gravy and sausage and the coffee was strong. The hotel is very convenient off the highway, and Foursquare noted it was only a few miles from Foxwoods. I would stay here again with family or friends.

This hotel chain is one that you always get what is expected. There are never any unexpected surprises...which is good.

The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport beginning at 4 a.m. They also have a package where you can leave your car in their parking lot.

The reason I choose Holiday Inn Express is because of the cinnamon rolls. They never disappoint. When I checked in, I aksed for the cinnamon rolls to be given to me then. They are considered part of the hot breakfast which isn't available for those who have to check-out early. They were given to me.

The only thing I don't like about this hotel is that the room doesn't have either a refrigerator or a microwave, but they do have in-room coffee/tea-making facilities. A microwave is in the breakfast bar area.

Free wi-fi is available in the room as well as a computer in the lobby. This is probably the closest hotel in this area to the interstate...a little noisy.

My boyfriend and I booked a jacuzzi king size room for his birthday getaway. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The room was very clean and nice. The staff allowed us to check in early which was a big plus. They have breakfast in the am...which was okay. We didnt try the indoor pool but we looked at it and it looked clean. There were some children swimming. It was a pleasant stay and next time were in the area we will be staying there again.

I arrived early (around 12:30) and asked for early check in. I was told that I couldent untill 3:00. The staff did not assist in saying to wait in the lounge or any outher are till the room was ready. i waited in my car for over two hours for my room after reciving harsh words from the front desk.

I called to a couple of days later to exspress my words of discomfert and agin was told I was wrong,

I am a gold member with Holiday Inn Exspress but am now thinking of changing to another chain.

Bottom line stay some place elese. Comfert inn across the street.
