My husband and I stayed at the Harbor House Inn on a snowy winter night in January. We loved it, it was cozy and comfortable. We were in town for a private function and realized as we unpacked that my husband had forgotten to pack a dress shirt. The owners happened to come check on us just at that moment and offered to lend my husband a shirt to wear. The roads were too bad to get to the mall and the other local stores had already closed. Their generosity saved our night and we'd like to thank them again. They made us feel very welcome and at home. Breakfast was healthy and perfect. We would definitely stay there again and recommend this inn to others.

I assume it is only a lack of competition allowing this place stay in business. It is especially the price versus value I still can't figure out. For over $200 a night, I would expect more up to date facilities and better service.
Whoever is running this B&B, I doubt it is done with passion.

I stayed with my husband recently for a weekend. Despite nice location, I will search elsewhere next time we are in Old Greenwich.

We are a family of four. Our children are 12 and 15 yrs old and we were taking this trip from New York to Cape Cod, Long Island and back to NYC.
We stayed in the Harbor House inn only for one night. We had arrived at JFK and were heading out for Cape Cod. Chatham would be too far to drive to in one evening (we landed at 17:00), so we decided to stop at Old-Greenwich. We booked this hotel already at home. It was a nice surprise! It is a really nice house (designed by the same architect who built the Plaza in New York! We thought this was funny because we were going to stay at the Plaza at the end of our trip). It has the right atmosphere. The lobby/living-room is really great, and our room was nicely decorated too. The daughter of the owner (Dawn) helped us and she was very kind. Breakfast is not very special, but we didn't really care. I'm sure that if you do care Dawn will bring you anything you like!
I would highly recommend this hotel/B&B to every-one!

I don't understand why the reviews on here are so bad. I stayed at the Harbor House Inn for the weekend with my boyfriend. We were scared after seeing these reviews but we ended up having a great time. Coming from NYC we were looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We found the people very nice and the location great! Its a mile to the beach/park and we definitely had a relaxing weekend. We didn't have a car but we used the hotel bikes to ride around the park. The room had its own window AC unit as well as central air that was blown through a vent in our room (someone said otherwise in one of these reviews- maybe they put the ACs in recently). Anyway, don't go expecting the four seasons, it is a bed and breakfast. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was a nice place to escape the city and I'm sure we'll end up going back again. There was a VCR in the room and they had something like 400 videos you could watch. I can't think of any complaints.
