I stayed here the night of Oct 15th for a show at Foxwoods with 2 friends. We arrived early (I forgot about the 3PM check in) and were asked to come back later, which was not a problem. What I did see as a problem was one of the staff was rude to 2 different customers that were ahead of me. She just seemed annoyed that they were asking questions.
When we returned later and received our keys, we headed to the second floor and as soon as we stepped off the elevator, I could smell stale smoke which is not a good start, especially for people who have allergies to the smoke.
We entered the room and thankfully it did not smell and was clean.
We did find the room darkening shades that seem to allude people. I would think after so many complaints, these would be replaced with regular room darkening curtains.
Upon entering the bathroom, we discovered no towels. Thankfully, a staff member was still cleaning a room so we were able to ask her for towels. We received them about an hour later. I do wonder about the "detail inspection" that the manager keeps talking in their responses to those complaining about dirty rooms. A bathroom completely missing towels is not hard to see.
The night was fine until morning when I awoke to my bed shaking. I don't know what it was coming from, but it went for a good hour. Our window overlooked a lot of vents so I will guess there was some kind of motor running or possibly the heat for the building. All I know is that I woke from a dead sleep and couldn't get back to sleep.
Breakfast was good but service was slow. Check out was quick and staff was nice.
Thankfully, I didn't have to pay cash for this room. I was lucky enough to have extra points to use.
