“Always enjoy staying at this place”

Have stayed many times at this hotel and always enjoy my time (always enjoy taking my team here for a 2-3 business / fun outing for the group) - service is good, hotel is clean, restaurant is nice (food area is amazing, local top rated, restaurant and bar. - Also, like that hotel gives off an air of relaxation. Hotel has conference and meeing rooms (unlike other hotels in Norwalk) is off the path somewhat (in other words, in a victorian Residential, quant neighborhood for walking, and site-seeing - but probably 1-2 minutes away from bussling I-95 and Merritt . You are within close proximity to many other restaurants in Westport / SoNo and water front dining (probably 5 minutes away) - although resort does have restaurants on-site- everyone in the group thoughorly ejoyed our food and drink there, all in one place! Can't beat the Norwalk Inn for business and good time combo.

“The New Patio with Retractable Roof is Great”

I did not stay over night at this property.
We were part of a party in the new outdoor patio the property has just built. It is fabulous.
It is a glass enclosed, 1,000 s.f.,heated space that still has some finishing touches to go before final completion.
The food served buffet-style to our party of 50 was the quality you would only expect in a plated setting. Service staff was accomodating and it was a excellent experience.
Would recommend this space for any function.

“A descent place to stay.. nothing more, nothing less.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

I usually go here for business and it's a nice simple place to stay. No hassles and they dont have any problems if you want to stay late. They are under construction for a while right now. The beds are extremely comfortable.

Room Tip: Get non smoking.

“OUCH!”

Small, but clean rooms.
You get what you pay for.
Watch out though.....my wife had a pair of diamond gold
earrings STOLEN out of our room while we were out
during the day. We went down to Stamford for a weekend last April
to visit our son, his girlfriend, and meet her family. After spending the day out,
we returned to our room to rest and get ready for dinner with everyone. My wife noticed her earings were gone. They were not worth thousands, but were expensive and extremely sentimental. When we went down to complain and ask about what they were going to do,
we got the big runaround. They did nothing. Would I stay here again? Unless they give us a call, discussed our situation, and offered something for our loss....other than that - Not A Chance!

NorwalkInn, Front Office Manager at Norwalk Inn and Conference Center, responded to this review
19 March 2012
Dear Valued Guest,

I write in response to your messages regarding missing jewelry during a stay at the Norwalk Inn from Friday, April 15th to Sunday, April 17th.

As promised, my Inn colleagues and I have followed up, seeking to gain more information on the issue. I regret to say that, in reviewing our surveillance cameras and speaking to our staffers about your room, we did not discover any information that might shed light on a possible burglary.

In a previous message you mentioned that you were away from your room from 11am to 5pm on April 16th, so it was particularly important to speak to those who were on duty at that time. However both Susan, our front desk staffer, Kim, the room maid, and Steffanie, the housekeeping supervisor said that they didn't recall anything unusual.

I regret that this issue clouded your stay at the Norwalk Inn. I hope that the jewelry has been found since we last communicated but if not, feel free to contact me with further comments or questions.

Sincerely,
-Lisa & Mathew

“An excellent experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

This hotel and conference center is warm and comfortable. We have stayed there for 5 years now, and we always return for our annual trip to Norwalk. The reception is friendly and responsive. They have a shuttle available (albeit at limited times). There is a computer and printer available free of charge. There is a restaurant attached and though I have not eaten there, it is most convenient and based on other reviews, quite good. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well furnished. And the hotel is very affordable! Highly recommended!
