We tried to go to sleep at 1130, but to no avail. A wedding party was in the hallway screaming, slamming the doors, and children running up and down the hallway. We complained to the front desk multilple times, but he was not able or not interested in helping with the problem. This continued unti 230 am when we asked to move to another room. As we were moving we noticed a gaggle of drunk rotund partiers falling out of the elevator. These "patrons" broke the elevator. They were stuck in the outdated elevator because either they cannot read or ignored the well posted warnings in the elevator stating the maximum weight the elevator could handle. Needless to say, they just added to the noise in our part of the hotel. When I called the next day to complain, the "supervisor" of the front desk informed me they cannot and will not do anything about loud and noisy guests as they are entitled to be loud. All the Holiday Inn is responsible for is to supply a clean place of their customers to sleep. It is not the hotel's problem if their customers cannot sleep. If you want to get some sleep I suggest making a reservation at one of the two hotels in nearby Wallingford. If you want to be subjected to illiterate, inconsiderate, rude, and belligerent clientelle I suggest you stay here in North Haven.

Thank you for taking the time to post to tripadvisor.com. I am sorry for the experience that you experienced in our hotel and I can assure you that this is defiantly not the norm. I know that while you were staying with us we had several guests from a party come back to the hotel and started some major inconveniences for the rest of our guests. Unfortunately they were out of control and we did have to bring the police in to help assist with the situation. It was the most responsible thing we could do at the time. We have invited those guests not to return to our hotel which is not something that we enjoy doing as we want all of our guests to be welcomed and enjoy their stay with us. Please feel free to reach out to me personally so we can discuss this matter in further detail. We would like for you to come back and see what our hotel is actually like and to be able to enjoy it.
