The room was filthy. it had an odor to it. my girlfriend checked for bed bugs and i told her that bed bugs would not stay here. there was a condom wrapper at the head of the bed on the floor,a wad of gum on the night stand,carpet was very dirty, was afraid to sleep in the bed, the mattress itself was stained, the pillows were stained, slept on top of the bed-no blanket, did not use pillows. this was the worst room i have ever seen. if you dont believe it, go rent a room for yourself. room 251

Many of these reviews I have read are majorly overrated! After staying in the red carpet inn for 2 days i found it hard to believe that these comments below even refer to the same motel! The staff were more than pleasent and so welcoming, they went out of their way to make sure all our needs were taken care of. We had a slight problem with our keys at the begining however the friendly desk staff quickly rectified this problem. The towels were perfectly up to standard along with the bathroom and the kitchenette! The stay was well worth the money with everything we needed available to us. My family and I are already planning another trip and would be more than happy to rebook in at the red carpet inn!! *Would deffinately reccomend to friends!!*

Great low price, and I booked the day before check-in. Other hotels usually double their prices. The room was spacious, clean, had a kitchenette and the bed was much more comfortable than one experienced at a high end hotel in Mystic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Though you won't find Holiday Inn or Hyatt newness, it's not a bad deal for the money.

Although not a brand that I'd heard of, once entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were like ones that would be in a home, with backboards and everything. The room had a kitchenette, equiped with pots and pans. I really liked it. The only thing I was leary about was that the windows were on a first level and had no screens and were unlocked (which concerned me about a persons ability to slide the window open and step right in). But I just made sure they were locked and worry over. No bells and whistles but good for a 1-whatever nights stay.
