I recently stayed but after reading all these reviews I must say they are ALL correct. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE CHARGED $75 FOR DAMAGE SOMEBODY ELSE DID!!!!! Bathroom wall had damage & we even said how "ghetto" it looked. Well needless to say they should check more thoroughly their rooms to not charge innocent people! No remote either-not enough towels-flat pillows! WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN EVEN FOR FREE!

We came here because this place was pet-friendly and we lost power at our home for the last 4 days. Although the room seemed somewhat clean, I checked the bed for bed bugs. Found nothing. I lifted the mattress and found a used crack pipe.
I didnt make a scene, I just returned it to the front desk letting them know. No offer was made to move rooms or maybe a discount. I checked out next day and am now staying in New Haven at the Premiere Hotel and Suites (also Pet-Friendly).
Also be aware, that everytime we took our dogs out to do their business, they came back in with a tick on them. Make sure you check your dogs.
I think they also had a lot of homeless people who might be staying there when its not so busy.
It's sold out now because of all the power outages in the state.
Room was extremely hot. Couldnt control heat. So I had to crank the A/C to balance it out.
If you're in Mystic area, I'd suggest the Hampton Inn in Mystic.
I guess you get what you pay for. But all other pet-friendly hotels were booked.

This is a no frills room but clean and comfortable. It was convenient to I95. The biggest plus was that pets are allowed.

This Red Roff Inn was unique in that the biggest negative was that the rooms were in dire need of renovation/upgrading. Pillows were flat, mattresses felt worn, new bath towels are definitely needed and the room temperature was difficult to control.
Now on to the better stuff. The grounds were well maintained, the housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly and more than helpful. The location was convenient to most of the local attractions and restaurants. The price was a litte high but understandable since it was the 4th of July weekend and there was quite a bit going on over the weekend.
Overall, save for the room needing upgrades, the location, hotel personnel and hotel grounds were excellent. Keep in mind that this is pretty much a no frills hotel.
