We got a super rate (less than $50 for a Thursday night) by using a coupon in one of those coupon books available at highway rest stops. (It was substantially less than the AAA rate.)

The front desk clerk was great, the room was very modern and very clean. Internet access was very good. No complaints at all. We would definitely stay there again, if in the area, and especially if the coupon rate was offered for our dates.

I've stayed at Red Roofs two times prior to this, and both were poor experinces... but this one was a surprise to me. The location was really good, for a holiday weekend the price couldn't be beat, and the bed wasn't so bad at all-- even the pillows seemed OK, not flat as a pancake. It was also pretty quiet and seemed safe, and popular, b/c the parking lot was packed by late evening. The only real downside was the bathroom- i've seen worse, but I have sure seen a lot better! It made me not want to use it in anyway .....
overall, for a one night stay, we got our money's worth, and would recommend it for those passing through in need of a good rest.

Spent a couple of day's here in May, found the front desk staff very helpful, except for one problem with our room, the bathroom floor was covered in water owing to leaking WC we felt uncomfortable using the bathroom, the whole room was a bit tired and needs a update

At check-in the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. When we got to the rooms I inspected the room (I am paranoid after having a bed bug experience) and the room was extremely clean! We were still in our room the next morning when housekeeping came around as my daughter was not feeling well. Pam (I believe that was her name) was very patient and when my four-year-old started asking her ten thousand questions she was extremely nice and answered her.

Location wise it was nice for us. We were there to do research and were only minutes away from the library and about ten minutes away from the Mystic Seaport. There is also a great little Chinese restaurant near the hotel. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat I recommend them. However, the portions are so large if you have kids buy one dinner for every two kids!
