Just had Christmas dinner here. The facility is stunning inside & out. It's apparent that the owners have spared no expense in maintaining it at the highest of standards. The food is likewise top notch both in preparation & presentation. However, the wait staff were a very sorry lot. We had our dinner at the last seating of the day & it was more than apparent, once we were seated, that the wait staff couldn't wait to get out the door. The service was very erratic, compounded by the fact that our waiter had only a slim grasp of the English language. A "Greyhound" cocktail needed to be spelled out for him, letter-by-letter. (And then he asked for the contents of same.) Repeated requests for an additional dinner roll for each of our companions went unmet. On the third try, the waiter offered an explanation & no one at the table could understand what he had said. But still no roles. The table water he served wasn't cold. It couldn't have been. There was no ice! And getting another glass of same took three tries. All the while, there were wait staff all over the place, hustling about, & doing what we we weren't sure, except for one thing. As it was the last seating of the night, as soon as another table of diners stood to leave, they swooped in like vultures & the table was stripped bare in nanoseconds & not reset. And then they would shuffle about & lurk, eyeing our party as if to say: "Aren't you done YET?" (The fire in the fireplace, near our table, was not kept lit & went out. Too much trouble to throw on another log?) Totally unpleasant. We all felt it. Very uncomfortable. The first time we've tipped less than 20% in dog years. Our advice: Never go here on a holiday.
