Nice front desk clerk but that is it - The halls and rooms are dirty - they ask you to sign a "won't smoke in the room or pay $250- to clean" card - It smells like smoke

One of the dumpiest places I had ever seen. Filthy and run-down, with a poorly-informed staff. I would not stay there again. Some selected specifics:
Our non-smoking floor in a non-smoking hotel reeked strongly of cigarette smoke. Most fire doors at the end of corridors were propped open. Isn't that a safety hazard? Our room had two towels for the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids). We asked for two more, but had to wait because the towels were "in the dryer". There was sand on the carpet that should have been vacuumed before we arrived. Tiles were literally falling off the wall in the shower. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Our window had a screen, but many others had torn or missing screens. A continental breakfast was promised on our reservation, but the front desk clerk just said that they have no kitchen and cannot provide breakfast. [I'll take that problem up with Hotels.com.] There were no towels at the pool (which had frigid water), and once again we had to wait for the dryer to get towels, this time while listening to a story about the hotel's laundry troubles (blaming an insurance company for their lack of sufficient linens. I sure hope our sheets had been cleaned). The front desk admitted to being short on housekeeping staff, which explains the trash (albeit a small amount) under the bed and the sand on the carpet. On checkin, a person at the front desk told us to park at either Door B or Door C. In reality, Door C and Door E were the only ones that made sense. We parked at door B and then had to walk past C to get to our room. That in and of itself is minor, but taken with all of the other problems, this hotel is one to be avoided at all costs.

Having seen staff come and go,the Ramada Mystic has given up its affiliation
with Wyndham Resorts and is going independant and changing its name to
Mystic River Inn.supposedly on July29,2011.
While new staff is coming+going,ownership supposedly still remains the same.
Only good thing right now is the new restaurant called SAVIN ROCK next door is
now opened since June2011 and the food+bar atmosphere are fantastic.
You will love the food,guaranteed.

I have travel a lot in my days, but this was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at by far. The tub was dirty, several spiders in my bed. room smelled, water faucet dripped all night, tub would not drain, left over food in the microwave from previous people (which means that they don't clean or check the room.) And the continental breakfast was disgusting, So many people complained while I was there and I would never, ever go back there again in my life. This place needs to be closed down immediately.
