Nice people running the place, but that's about all I can say. When I called to book, the owner asked me to bring bagels because I am from NYC! Granted, they gave me the money for them, but if I am going to a B & B, I expect NOT to have to supply the food! The lady made an egg dish too, but I could not eat eggs, and they did not offer me anything else except for the bagels I brought! I went here with my husband, and we specifically chose this place because they do not allow children. However, all day and well into the evening, we heard children playing downstairs, stomping and yelling, and being very loud. Again, deceiving! This was our first B & B experience, and we tried a different one after that. From now on I am sticking with hotels, motels, resorts and cruises! Don't waste your money here!!

We are sorry the guest posting a review that we decieved her did not take care to ask or view our website regarding our policy concerning children as it clearly states that our B&B welcomes families in our guest cottage. Well behaved children over 10 are welcome in our main house and to my knowledge we have never had loud children stomping and yelling on our property or in the house.
We often have guests from New York and vicinity and they sometimes offer to bring us bagels as there is no bagel shop in town. If this was a burden for her she should have declined or just not brought them.
For the past 13 years we have served a full breakfast buffet with a coffee bar, toast bar, fresh fruit of the season, granolas, and fresh baked goods. Each morning we also feature a hot entree. If we are lucky to get some fresh bagels from New York we offer those as well. If food allergies or dislikes are brought to our attention we offer another choice. If no one mentions their particular diet restrictions there is no way for us know what they might be.
We answer any guests questions with honest answers to avoid problems which are upsetting to us as well as the guests. If this customer asked if we allowed children when she inquired about making a reservation we would have answered that we do and it is possible there would be children on the property. It would make no sense for us to misrepresent this fact and it is clearly stated on our website.
