We just finished a stay at the Harbor Inn Bed & Breakfast and were very pleased at all the Inn had to offer. It was quiet, cozy, romantic, pleasant, the room was clean and a great deal for the money. The location was perfect for us as we came by train and it was very close to the Amtrak station as well as being right on the water and close enough to the town of Mystic to allow for quick walks to many local sites and restaurants that Claude, the host, was very helpful with his tips about this charming New England town. We couldn't see what the negative reviews about this place were referring to because we didn't see, smell or hear any problems. The train didn't even wake us up. The charm in this place for us was all in the decor, woodburning fireplace and our room. We had the chief engineer's room and it felt just like being on a ship without the rocking of the sea and a huge TV that balanced old world charm with modern convenience. There was also a huge hot tub outside that looked very inviting and a gazeebo that made a great picnic spot for us. Overall we would definitely recommend this place and plan to go back.
