“Rooms Nice, Great Price, Close to Casino”

I stayed at the Two Trees in for a Convention in January '12. The hotel itself seemed a little dated, although the lobby was very nice. The hallways getting to the room worried me, but I was happily surprised with the quality of the room. The room was large with a king size bed, large chair, and desk with chair. The bathroom was nice, but my only issue was that there was not a light in the shower (once the curtain was closed it was p[itch black), but if that's my biggest complaint I'm doing alright! The rate for the room was fantastic, and compared to the prices for the rooms at the casino, it was a steal! The price did go up if you wait to book until too late. Originally booked over a month before travel date to get the low price.

There is a shuttle that goes from the casino to the hotel every 10 mins. It was incredibly simple (once I found out where it left the casino) and quick. I got this shuttle at about 1:30am back to the hotel and it was still going every 10 minutes. Very convenient! It was raining/snowing, but in nice weather it might not even be a bad walk.

Room Tip: Book in advance, and ask for a room not too far from the elevator. The elevators are on far sides o...

“We liked it just fine!!”

We stayed here in late October 2011. Initially we were looking to stay at the casino, however the price of the rooms at this nearby hotel was considerably cheaper. The casino is about a 5 minute walk, and a couple minutes by shuttles going every 20 min or so. The room was clean, and well appointed. If I was going to MGM / Foxwoods again, I would gladly stay here.

Room Tip: Compare prices to the casino's...sometimes they are similar in price.

“Great room, not so great breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I stayed at the hotel last Saturday night. Check in had a long line with computers open. we didn't mind too much, just get there early if you can so you don't have to wait a long time. Make sure you park near your room becuase it can be confusing getting to the room. We got to the room and it was nice and clean. 24 hr shuttle service to the casino etc. was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable; all in all, the hotel side of the experience was pleasurable. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning after an efficient check out at 11am. Breakfast runs until 11:30am which was nice becuase we like to sleep in. Saw a menu for breakfast in the window outside the restaurant for $9.95 breakfast. It didn't mention that it was offered only during the week. We sat down on sunday morning and it was not offered. We were fine with this after it was explained to us. We decided to go for the buffet becuase that was the only place we could get some eggs. Drinks came out fast and so did the check. The check was dropped before we even went to get our food. We went to get our food from the buffet, it was all picked through and the buffet runner was bringing out the items slowly, one at a time. When we finally got our food, everything was good during the meal, the server came back and checked if we needed more coffee but neither she or any other staff member offered to clear our dirty plates. When we paid the check that had been sitting on our table the entire meal, we were owed change but had to ask the server for the change. I understand we came in late in the shift but that doesn't mean we shouldn't get the same experience as others.

“Enjoyed our stay but......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We stay at Two Tree in last friday night and was happy about its location to casino. Clean and friendly staff. Room was nice. Not fancy but we did not go there for the room. The food was excellent! Best meal I had all weekend. 2 adults for dinner only no drinks, 35.00 Wow. Paid close to that at the buffet in the casino. Only draw back was the window in our room was a leaky window and the room was cold. We turned up the heat but it was still cold. There were no drapes that could be closed. We did not call the front desk as it was 2:00 am . The noise from other guest was terrible. Small children running in the hallway, the guys coming back from the casino! WOW! And we were trying to sleep at 2:30 am. Otherwise I would recommend. Again, eat there NOT CASINO!!!

“Very Good Inexpensive Hotel”

Had a chance to stay in Two Tree's Hotels Friday January 6th 2012 on the occasion of my friend's stag party at Foxwoods Resort Casino. We stayed in a Junior Suite in Room 166, which was next to the elevator. I did not find that to be a problem. The room itself was a living room with a couch that folds out to a bed, a chair, a 37 inch LCD TV, a closet with hangars and a ironing board. The bedroom in room 166 had 2 what looked like 2 queen sized beds, another 37 inch TV, a refrigerator that had spaces for Champaign bottles, which was very handy for us, they had 2 water bottles for $3.95, which is a good price, if you have traveled the word like I have, another closet, single vanity area, and a bathroom with tub. Each room had its own wall mounted heating/ac unit, which we found to be very quiet. The room was very clean, and showed no signs of age, as Two Tree's is one of Foxwoods oldest properties. The hotel also had a indoor swimming pool of decent size and also a hot tub. The Hotel also has a small restaurant and bar locates just off the lobby. We only used the bar, and drinks were pricey, but that is to be expected at a Casino. The hotel has a shuttle bus to take you onto the Foxwoods property. One takes you just across the street to the Rainmaker Casino, and the other bus also goes to MGM. Shuttles run every 20 mins. For a friday night my Junior Suite, all taxes included Was $216 and change, which was $150 less than a standard room on the property. There is a $100 deposit for incidentals on the room. Overall, If I were to need a room a Foxwoods, I would definitely go back to Two Trees Hotel.

Room Tip: Junior Suites are the best value at this hotel
