I have stayed here with my family over the holidays for years,as it is close to my parent's house. As time has gone by, the place has become increasingly shabby. The rooms are not clean, nor are they in good repair. However the room rates have recently gone way up. I was told that they are catering to business people with corporate accounts. There are tons of nicer hotels nearby, almost ALL of them less expensive. For $140 a night I expect a lot more in a hotel. I will not be returning.

This place used to be good, it's now a total dump: dirty bathrooms in the over-priced rooms, the room smelled of smoke (it was a smoke free room), toaster & coffee maker didn't work. Manager didn't care at all when we complained. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!!

I finished a three night stay in Manchester because the usual hotel i stay at was full. They recommended Manchester to me and i was so impressed here that i have now made this my new place to stay. I am here in Conn often on business. I had to return the following week and made my reservations here again.

I cannot tell you how impressed i am. The second time i was amazed to see i could have a working fireplace if so desired.
Most places will give you a complimentary breakfast but i have never had one who had Management Complimentary Diners.
I don't know if all of the Clarion Suite Hotels provide this but Manchester does, on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Beer and Wine are also provided free with your meal.

With all this and set up of the rooms i have now made this my "Home Away From Home".

My husband and I stayed at Clarion Suites, Manchester, Ct. on Jan. 25, 2007 for one night. Our suite was very clean, except for behind the bedside stands, where a vacum would have taken care of the dust and wrappers there. Will let them know this.

We loved the sitting area with nice couch and chair with foot stool. The kitchen was very clean and we made use of the stove and microwave.

Bed, very comfortable. The head board was coming off on one side.

The Wed. eve snack and drink offering was delicious.They offer this Mon.-Wed. and it included chips, dip, chili, macaroni salad, pasta salad, chicken salad, wonderful, soft rolls. Also grilled steak which was delicious, and seasoned, baked chicken. There were mozzerella sticks, french fries and some kind of rolled taco thing. Apples and oranges, two kinds of cookies, wine, beer and soda was available.

The coffee and tea is available 24/7 and the coffee was delicious.

A full breakfast is offerred every day and consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits with gravy for the hot side. Then there were several types of muffins, sweet buns, bagels, make your own waffles, three kinds of juice, yougurt,several fruits, all kinds of cold cereals. What we had was delicious. I ate in the dining area and brought back to the suite, breakfast for my husband, who was getting more much needed rest.

We would return here anytime! The staff was very friendly.
The hotel is located right behind Friendly's, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and several other places. Right across the street is a large grocery store, sub place, gas station and a nice little Chinese rest. where we had lunch. Delicious.
