“Roomy, but dirty”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

We had a double bed suite with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. However, when we went to get into bed the first night there, we noticed that the bed had hair in it already. After tearing the blankets back, we noticed that the bed had been made after the previous occupants, but the sheets had not been changed. We looked at the second bed and it was in the same condition. When my husband called the front desk to ask for clean sheets, the reply was: "I don't know if we have any." Eventually (at 1am) the guy brought us clean sheets and we then had to make the bed ourselves.

Also, when we returned from a wedding the following day, I got in the shower and realized that the cleaning staff had stolen my shampoo. The free breakfast was greasy. The only edible thing there were the waffles you make on your own. Luckily, there's a Starbucks and a Dunkin Donuts right across the parking lot.

“Good, but Going Downhill”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2010

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times, and it still offers features that we like. It has large suties, some with two bedrooms for more than one couple. The free internet works well, and the hotel offers free breakfast; there is a pool and basketball court.

We noticed this time, though, that things are slipping. These are mostly little things, but when you combine them all together, the signs are there. The grounds do not appear well-maintained, with weeds now sharing the gardens. The basketball net was missing. The breakfast eggs were scrambled and very dry, not fresh-tasting at all. The bathroom was not as clean as it used to be kept, and the carpeting in the rooms could use repair too. There was hot water enough for only one person to take a shower, and then you had to wait about 15 minutes for the second person to shower with hot water.

Overall, it is an excellent facility and still worth staying in if you are in the area. In a few years, though, if things aren't turned around, it may not be as enjoyable.

“Good to have kitchen and dining table in a room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

This was booked for us (group of 3) to stay for a tenure of 3 months. We are from India and were in US for business/training. The location of the hotel is great. There are nearby supermarket and just within 50 meters you have dunkin donuts and an indian supermarket.

To add to that, there were unlimited beer and snacks in the evening everyday. What else you can expect, during an official trip.
So after a busy day, we could relax over the drinks and we could still cook indian food in the kitchen attached in the room and have the dining at the dining table placed in the room. Even the utensils are provided. So expect the groceries we didn't have to buy anything and we need not have pizza/burger everyday. We could cook indian food and be satiated everyday.

The rooms were clean and the staff were very good. The parking space is ample.

“Great Place for Girls Weekend Away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2010

I met four of my girlfriends here at the Clarion Suites in Manchester for a Girls Weekend Away. We wanted a place where we could do some shopping, have a selection of restaurants, and a hotel room that would comfortably accommodate five ladies. BINGO. We found it here! We could not be happier.

The hotel staff was very friendly from my first phone call to the last conversation when we checked out. The lobby was really bright and neat, and the two bedroom suite we chose was quite nice. While it may have been a little bit run down, I have stayed in much worse. This was definitely tolerabe for the price.

The closet doors did fall off the hinges, and there were really not enough blankets for the pull out couch for a cold February night, but we did not realize this until 1am and did not want to call the front desk so late. We also could have used more towels than what they provided, but again we got by.

The complimentary continental breakfast was really great. There is a seating area in the lobby, and we had our choice of eggs, freshly made waffles, bagels, toast, cereals, juices, and coffee.

All in all, this two bedroom suite with sofa bed was the perfect spot for ladies who just wanted to spend time laughing and having drinks together, and who also did not want to spend alot of money. The kitchette was a great area to gather for the appetziers we brought, and the living room sofa and chair were the perfect spot for games. 10 minutes to Buckland Hills Mall and restaurants was perfect, and the hotel itself was very quiet despite its proximity to the highway.

We gave the entire experience a thumbs up for value and fun.

“Delightful Surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2009

We selected this hotel for a TDay stay because it was closest to shuttle bus for the Manchester Road Race. We wanted to limit the hassle of getting to and from this annual race that has over 14,000 entrants. The hotel was chosen for convenience only, but we were delighted with our everything about the place. The room had a king bed, pull out sofa for the kids . . plus - a full kitchen! Staff was great. Room came with a full breakfast - scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, donuts, etc.
