It was very comfortable here and the staff is great, very helpful. Very clean hotel. The breakfast is the best. However, next door is a nightclub with an outdoor deck. When I got back to my room around 10pm I wondered where all the noise was coming from - it sounded like someone was having a party. Well, it was the place next door. It was loud and I was on the 6th floor. I kept my TV on as I fell asleep, just as white noise. It got quiet around 2am and at breakfast the next morning I talked to other visitors who commented about the noise as well. Maybe you can request a room on a different side of the building from the nightclub. I stayed there for 2 nights: Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday was the loud night and I was grateful that Thursday night it was a rain/snow combination - no one was on the roof and it was quiet. :) Otherwise, have a nice stay.

Stayed here for business. The place is worn in comparison to the other Hilton offerings I have stayed at (many). Layout is a little weird and I am guessing that is due to a retro-fit in an older hotel.

That being said, everything worked fine and the staff were great. It is in a good location in Hartford with many solid dining options close by (next door a great BBQ/cajun spot), as well as a short walk through the park to the state offices and also close the conference center. Parking is available nearby for a reasonable price.

I would stay again, but don't expect a spit-shined place.

I booked this room under the state government rate of $112 a night, which is an excellent rate. Tack on parking and taxes and I was up to about $150, but it was still worth it. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and I had absolutely no problems with anyone. The free breakfast was pretty much your typical free Hampton Inn style breakfast. Nothing special, but a nice break on your per diem (if you have one). The view (if you have a room with a view) is amazing. You can see the state capitol and the arch next to Bushnell Park. I was very pleased. You are also within an EASY walk to the civic center (caught a minor league hockey game while I was there) and lots of nice places to eat, drink, or whatever. The only problem is the bar/restaurant next door. They were pretty loud until at least 1am. This wasn't a HUGE deal for me because I sleep with the tv on, but when I was in my living room (I was in a nice suite), I could hear the base the entire time. It was pretty annoying. I was tempted to go join in, but was too tired. Not sure if you will really have this problem Sunday-Thursday, but on the Saturday night I was there, it was a bit of an annoyance. Not enough to deter me from staying again, if I am ever in Hartford.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights this past weekend for a wedding. We had a great stay overall; the suite was spacious enough for two (we only had a studio) and very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was quite substantial for a Continental menu.

We were there for a wedding that took place Saturday night in the Bond Ballroom on the 11th floor and our room was on 10. Unfortunately, it seems that the front desk staff thought we were part of Friday night's wedding and booked us on the same floor as those guests that were younger and MUCH rowdier than we were- we didn't get to sleep until 3am because of the celebrations in the hallway. The way the ventilation systems work, noises in the hallway sound like they are in your bathroom/bedroom when loud enough to travel. Saturday night was fine.

The Bond Ballroom is a great venue- the views are spectacular, the food delicious and the ballroom is very spacious. I would recommend this as a great space for your next party!

Overall, we had a great stay.
