This place is in the process of renovation but it is just a notch above mediocre. Very old furniture, carpets, heat kicked in at 3 am and then we roasted on a cold night, tv was 14 inches. It is juts a place to sleep, no leisure time value at all. The price should be about 40 dollars a night but it is twice that. We left after one night and will not be back. kitchen has nothing in it not even a coffee maker.

As we had no power after the ice storm, we took a room last night at the Guilford Suites Hotel to get a warm room and hot shower in the morning. Never again! Due to other commitments we had to arrive late, and I called in the afternoon to advise them. When we arrived, the desk clerk had no idea of our call. We we got warmth! The "Suite" as about 80 degrees when we entered. To call it a suite is a stretch. Just the bare essentials, and a kitchenette with no cups, glasses, utensils, etc. One plastic cup in the bathroom. The TV was very hard to figure out, with almost no instructions. The was no alarm clock in the room, and we never received our requested wake-up call. And the bed and linens were typical low-grade hotel style. We'll take our freezing cold home before we return there.

I liked this place a lot. Although the decor is a little tired the suites are very comfortable and clean. Nice sofa, king size bed, and good kitchen facilities. Unlike a motel room there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy my stay. The staff were particularly helpful. I haven't wandered down to breakfast but it is included in the tariff. I would definitely stay here again.

We are at the Guilford Suites Hotel due to our deal on our new house fallling through. In a panic last minute we were faced with not having anywhere to go. Thankfully I took a chance and called to inquire about the hotel. Much to my surprise, it is reasonably priced, has beautiful grounds and was a suite as opposed to just a room. More importantly, being uprooted and facing the uncertaintly of when we would find a new home, everyone here has been very accommodating, polite and helpful. We very much enjoy our stroll over in the morning for breakfast and in the afternoon, enjoy the patio in front of our room. We had no dishes, no silverware, nor did we know where any of it was, but we were immediately supplied with dishes, pots, pans, silverware and more. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we are also now spoiled with a King size bed. We are looking forward to a new home of course, but have been very very comfortable, happy and grateful for our stay here.
