“Nice Hotel for a Couple's Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

My wife and I had a great overnight at the Marriott Hotel and Spa in Mystic (really Groton), CT. The room was very nicely appointed, with a whirlpool tub and a small couch. (We were in room 403 so maybe the "03" rooms are nicer than the others.) The whirlpool tub was a nice extra. The bed was nice, the linens fresh and starched, and the room was very quiet. The pool was large enough for laps and then there was another part where kids could play and not get in your way. The jacuzzi was nice too. The workout room was fine. There were lots of machines, but one quirk was that you had to run your earphones directly to the TV that was mounted on a stand in front of the equipment. But, this is minor. That night we went out of the hotel to eat, but when we came back we had two drinks at the lobby bar, which was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE....a martini and a bourbon on the rocks...$32. Next time, I'll skip the bar. We tried to get a reservation for a massage at the Red Door Spa in the hotel, but they were booked.

I was happy with the hotel and would stay there again...though I would try and stay away from the bar!

“great stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

We just came back from a short trip to Mystic. The Marriot was a fantastic place to stay. We had a huge room for a great price, and enjoyed the pool and the spa.

“So Friendly & Nice Rooms”

My husband and I stayed one night at the Marriott Mystic. We had a king bed room. Everyone was SO polite and friendly. Just stellar service. And the room was nice: the king bed, a love seat, plenty of space and nicely done. Nice big bathroom, too.

Good location, easy to find.

Breakfasted in the Octagon, and again: really great service as well as good food.

“Excellent People - Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Recently stayed at the Marriott Mystic and everyone from the front desk staff (Cara especially) to the lounge/dining staff (Roger and Amy) were wonderful. Very kind, professional, friendly and accomodating. The location is right off the highway, close to the casino and the beach, easy to find and a beautiful hotel. Already looking forward to our next stay at this location.

“A warm friendly hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011 via mobile

We just returned from our second stay at this particular hotel. It is easy access on/off the highway and within minutes to beautiful Mystic Ct.
I love that there us a huge parking lot and they do charge extra for parking. The hotel itself boasts a large and grand lobby. Checkin is effortless
and all of our needs were meet before we arrived. The room is large and clean and our view looked out onto the ocean. There is a Red Door spa and we were offered 20% discount for the spa but unfortunately did not have time to use it..next stay! In the lobby there is a Starbucks for a quick breakfast or snack but for dinner you can't go wrong with their fantastic Octagon Restaurant. The wait staff is delightful and the manager of the restaurant is fantastic. She is very committed to making sure everything is perfect! There is not one negative thing to be said about thus facility ..we cannot wait to return!!
