I stayed here for 8 days in the aftermath of Storm Alfred. I had no lights, heat or water at home so I booked my reservation knowing they had very limited facilities (no lights or heat) but I could take my dog with me and be in the center of town. Most of the staff was awesome and their customer service ethic was evident. They handed out flashlights, charged my cellphone at the front desk for me, placed a microwave in each hallway for shared use (baby food, people food), and turned out a hot breakfast every morning and light reception every evening that they cooked on the outside grill in freezing weather. Staff worked extended hours wearing coats and gloves. Guests were able to watch a large flat screen TV that projects into the dining area playing movies until regular service was restored. Rooms were spacious and well maintained (full kitchen facilities), the lobby and dining area share a working fireplace, there is space to spread out with books or other projects when the kitchen closes, and plenty of free parking. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, and retail stores of every variety. There is no restaurant onsite but a Hilton Garden Inn is immediately next to this facility.
