This hotel offers a safe, quiet, and convenient alternative to downtown hotels if you are visiting the Hartford area. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, there is ample parking, and the free wi-fi worked well in both the lobby and the room. The suites are large and well maintained, which is what you are paying for at this property. There is very limited fitness equipment and no indoor pool on site. Also, if you are traveling with more than 2 adults (older teens, college aged children, grandparents, group of friends), you are charged an extra pp fee, which makes this hotel chain seem a little overpriced when compared to other suite hotels.

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend at the Homewood Suites while visiting relatives nearby. Glastonbury only has two hotels, so we went for the suite option. Our room was a king suite with plenty of space for two adults and two kids. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh and clean. The full kitchen was a nice surprise; it even had a dishwasher. The hotel features a nice hot breakfast as well as weekday dinner options from a self-service buffet.

The hotel staff were professional and accommodating, Although the outdoor pool was closed (Nov), we were allowed access to the indoor pool in the adjacent Hilton property.

The price was a little steep for central CT, but during a holiday weekend, that is to be expected.

All in all, a great stay.

Was in town for a weeklong training class. The hotel was well managed with great service. Olivia, the desk clerk, was a sweet and cheerful as anyone I've met in my hotel experiences. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and tv's in the room were past there prime, but functional. I also would have like to have had more pressure in the shower. Breakfast was well stocked (even with my favorite granola). There are restaurants about 1/4 mile from the hotel, but since I didn't rent a car and it was raining, it didn't get to check them out.

We really enjoyed our stay here - right from the minute we walked in - very attractive lobby with gas fireplace and friendly professional staff day and night. Our room was spacious (king suite w/full kitchen) and clean. Down pillows and comforter. Wonderful full breakfast w/attentive staff there as well. We didn't use the amenities (fitness room or pool), but what we did experience was all for a very good price. A rare find! Keep up the good work Hilton!
