Believe the reviews. This place is awful. We had no hot water in our room. It is dirty and dingy. The continental breakfast is defrosted glazed donuts and mini croissants.

I reserved a two bed room for myself, my husband and our two friends. My friend went to check in and was told it was only a one bed room and that it was the same price as the two bed room. These people are con artists. DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. When I told them that I would never consider staying at any Econolodge again they did not seem to care. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau.

There was lot of bed bugs. I stay one night, I could not sleep because of bed bugs. Bathroom and room was not clean. The manager was the worst. They provide breakfast but only donuts nothing else. This is the worst hotel to stay. Stay away from it. There was no TV service.

I've been meaning to write this review for awhile. A friend of mine and I (both of us females) stayed here while in town for a conference. We were hoping for a cheap room that would be effortless. We got more than we bargained for.

We reserved a room with 2 double beds. We were given a king room. The parking lot is large and poorly lit. A bit uneasy for the two of us. We entered our room and it reminded me of...well, staying at a relatives house who doesn't clean and smells. The room was not clean and there were stains on EVERYTHING. The bathroom was small and ancient and everything was stained yellow.

The highlight of the evening was something that I had never experienced in any hotel or hostel I have stayed in throughout the world. When we pulled back our covers to crawl into the king bed, we discovered a pile of coarse body hair (pubic??) underneath the comforter.

Well, that was it for me!!!!!

I hightailed it down to the front desk...which is located in a tiny building in the middle of the parking lot. The man said that he couldn't solve the problem because the sheets couldn't be washed at that hour of the night. We demanded to be moved to a room without hair!! Reluctantly, he moved us to another king room...not 2 double beds. I was so freaked out. The manager spoke very poor english. We had trouble communicating.

There is no easy way to get to downtown Hartford from this hotel. No public transportation...keep this in mind!! We couldn't get to the convention center.

When we went to check out on sunday the parking lot was jammed full of cars. When we opened the door of the reception building, the tiny lobby was jammed full of people in white robes. Apparently they rent the tiny reception kiosk out to a church that wears robes. A cult perhaps??? Creepy!!!!! They all looked at us like we were intruding and they slammed the door on us. So much for checking out!!! The manager was no where in sight.

Pay the extra $$ and just stay in downtown Hartford. After this experience, I always check hotel beds for body hair!!
