“Great Location and Big Sized Rooms for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

Have stayed here many times -- 2 weeks in summer '11 and again in dec '11. The Danbury market is a bit limited when it comes to places where a family can have enough room -- this hotel has rooms with 2 doubles and a pull-out so great for families. The free breakfast has a good assortment of choices and everything seems to be very clean. Free wireless internet is a bonus as well. Would recommend this for quick as well as extended stays!

“Would definitely stay here again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

We stayed here so that we could conveniently visit Bethel in Patterson and Walkill. The room was large and very clean. The parking was free. There is a great pizza place adjacent to Trader Joe's that we picked up dinner from and enjoyed in our room. The breakfast that's included with the room is great! A lot to choose from - you will definitely not go away hungry!

“Nice sized room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

There were 3 of us so I slept on the pull out sofa bed and it was surprizingly comfortable. The location is great - Starbucks & other amenities right down the street. The breakfast spread was very good as well. I agree that it's a little dated, but overall no complaints.

“a dated Springhill suites, but more than adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

i was surprised at how dated the springhill suites in danbury was - I haven't seen a NON-flat screen in a hotel for 5 years. this TV was one of those that bulges out the backend for about 24 inches and caused the TV cabinet to take more room than necessary. the rooms were cleaned OK, but the common areas always seemed a bit dirty.

the rooms were small for a springhill suites. the mattresses were old, not up to marriott current standards. the room walls were thin and emitted lots of noise.

the breakfast service and area is so cramped and there was not adequate room for people to sit, much less move along the food line and among tables. the food was set up strangely with items that should go together being placed at opposite ends of the lines causing you to go back and forward getting in people's ways - there was no rhyme or reason where things were placed. the plates were not at the front of the line, the cold water pitchers were right next to the eggs but the cups for the water were at the end of the line. very strange and sloppy, so people kept bumping into each other.

the staff was pretty nice, but some of the kitchen and other staff kept going to and using the front desk telephone for personal calls, speaking very loudly while stretching the telephone cords across the counter to where the guests stand, talking personally. people even called in fr these staff on those phones and the front desk supervisors would go find the staff to tell them they had calls. strange. and very noisy in small lobby/breakfast area.

i like the springhill suites brand a lot but this one is very outdated and needs attention.

“Very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

Great hotel. Little dated compared to other springhill suites. Very clean and very friendly staff. You can't go wrong with Marriott and this hotel is no expception. If your in the area this is one of the few good places to stay. It's a great hotel as far as limited service hotels go.
