we stayed last weekend for two days and the hotel was nice, clean and very comfortable. Early in the morning we could see the housekeeping personnel checking the rooms, changing towels and asking if everything was ok. They are remodeling the rooms. They have microwave,refrigeration and hair dryer. You can get coffee at the lobby.
We certainly would be staying in this hotel when we are in the area.

This is the second time we stayed here and will stay here again whenever we're in the area. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and affordable. This room is a bit larger than the one we had the first time, and it has a nice flat-screen TV, microwave, and fridge. The other room seemed a bit cramped but had a very retro-cool, stainless-steel kitchenette. Sure, if we wanted to be picky we could mention some odd things about the room. Instead, we think it has 'character.' Good coffee (Green Mountain, fair-trade, K-Cup) is available in the office. It's a short walk to restaurants and shops (Peter's restaurant for breakfast sushi and Dunkin Donuts across the street, etc.).

Since you can't book online, I called the motel directly. Their "front" rooms were all booked and all they had left were the back rooms. Based on the price (around $80/night), I had no reason to assume these rooms would be less favorable than the front. I was wrong.

The back rooms are extremely old, very dingy and tiny. The ceilings are no higher than 7 ft and there was a faint moldy smell. Since we were visiting on family business and hotel options in Cheshire and the surrounding towns are limited, we sucked it up for 2 nights. The second night, however, we had a room ful of drunk guys next to us and it sounded like they were literally bouncing off the walls. One call to the front desk brought the cops to their room and then eviction. The hotel handled everything quickly and professionally.

I'm guessing the front rooms are nicer -- I had been told that the place was recently renovated, so that must be where the renovations were. Don't take a room in the rear if it's offered.

The room was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable and it's a very well maintained property. It is also very well lite and as a single traveler felt safe on the property.

I would not hesitate to stay here again.
