My girlfriend and I stayed here in late July on our way to a concert at Jones Beach Long Island. This is a cheap Motel 6...and because it's out of the way from view and interest, it suffers neglect beyond that of the typical cheap motels around New Haven. Be aware that a "non-smoking room" is going to be just as odorous as a smoking room. As we entered the motel from the back door, a mysterious shirtless man met our presence in the stairway that was just below our room. His cigarete smoke leaked into our room and he left a mess of crumpled 711 and McDonalds bags all over the hall for us to enjoy.
